An eight-day touring camp on the volcanic island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands, run in French by Zigotours for teenagers. The group travels the island by nine-seater minibus driven by the camp team: black-lava beaches and the natural sea pools known as charcos on the coast, misty forests and a panoramic walk towards the Teide volcano inland. A dolphin-watching boat trip from Los Gigantes, an introductory scuba dive and a full day at the Siam Park water park sit alongside everyday camp life. Participants take turns in the kitchen and help choose part of the programme — the co-managed style the operator calls the ZIGO spirit. The group is based in fully equipped apartments in Los Cristianos, in the south of the island.

About

About the Course

One fixed itinerary for a single group, led in French by a qualified director and camp leaders. There are no optional modules and no lessons: every participant follows the same island route, travelling by nine-seater minibuses driven by the team. The group is announced at a minimum of twelve and a maximum of twenty-four participants, with one adult for every eight young people.

What’s Included

The school offers a special discount — ask us for details. The price covers return travel from Paris, full board, the full supervision team, repatriation and personal accident insurance, accommodation, local transport, the activities listed by the operator, and the educational and administrative follow-up before and after the stay. Personal spending and departures from cities other than Paris are not included; departures from other cities are offered as paid options.

Accommodation

Fully equipped apartments in the Los Cristianos area, in the south of Tenerife. Rooms sleep two to six, each with its own shower and bathroom. Every apartment has a kitchen corner. The residence has a common room for activities, terraces, table tennis and mini-golf, a restaurant and bar on site, and swimming pools.

Meal Plan

Full board. Meals are co-managed: the young people take turns helping to prepare them, which the operator presents as part of its educational approach rather than a cost-saving measure.

Activities & Excursions

Swimming throughout the stay, including the charcos — natural sea pools shaped by old lava flows. An introductory scuba dive. A day at a large water park with wave pools and high slides. A two-hour boat trip from Los Gigantes, one of the better places in the world to watch dolphins. A panoramic walk towards the peak of the Teide, described by the operator as an easy hike. Evenings, pool time and group games fill the rest.

Facilities

Swimming pools, terraces, table tennis and mini-golf at the residence, a common room used for activities, and a restaurant and bar on site. Nine-seater minibuses driven by the camp team are used for all movement around the island.

Camp Experience

A mini road trip rather than a fixed-base camp: the island changes from black-lava beaches to misty forest and volcanic high ground within a short drive. The operator runs the stay in its co-managed style — participants share the cooking and help choose part of the programme — so the group builds the week as much as it follows it.

Price from

A single fixed itinerary run for one small group. Participants travel the island of Tenerife by minibus with the camp team, combining coast and volcano: natural lava sea pools, a dolphin-watching boat trip, an introductory scuba dive, a panoramic walk below the Teide and a day at a large water park. There is no choice of modules — everyone follows the same route, led in French by a qualified director and camp leaders, with the group sharing meal duties in turn.

There are no lessons. This is a French-led guided discovery of Tenerife with one fixed itinerary, all participants travelling together by nine-seater minibus. Learning is entirely experiential: swimming in natural lava pools, an introductory scuba dive, a water park, a dolphin-watching boat trip from Los Gigantes, an easy hike towards Teide, and evenings of pool time and group games. Meals are co-managed, with young people helping to prepare them. The group is small, with one adult for every eight young people.

A French-led, activity-based exploration of Tenerife’s volcanic landscapes and coastal life, with no formal lessons, where the group co-manages daily life and builds the week together.

More about this camp

This is a touring camp rather than a fixed-base one. The group is housed in fully equipped apartments in Los Cristianos, in the south of Tenerife, and travels out from there each day in nine-seater minibuses driven by the camp team. Rooms sleep two to six and each has its own shower and bathroom; the residence adds a common room for activities, terraces, table tennis and mini-golf, a restaurant and bar, and swimming pools. The programme keeps returning to the water. Participants swim through the stay, including at the charcos — pools shaped naturally at the shoreline by old lava flows — and take an introductory scuba dive to see the local marine life. A two-hour boat trip leaves from Los Gigantes, on a stretch of coast the operator describes as one of the best places in the world to watch dolphins. One full day goes to a large water park with wave pools and high slides. Inland, the group walks a panoramic route towards the peak of the Teide, presented by the operator as an easy hike, and sees the island's volcanic interior at close range. Evenings follow the usual camp rhythm of pool time, games and organised evening activities. The camp is aimed at ages 12 to 17 and is led in French. The operator announces a group of at least twelve and at most twenty-four participants, supervised by a qualified director and camp leaders at a ratio of one adult to eight young people. Meals are co-managed: the young people take turns in the kitchen, which the operator treats as part of the educational approach rather than a way of cutting costs, and the group also has a say in part of the programme. The published price covers return travel from Paris, full board, the supervision team, repatriation and personal accident insurance, accommodation, local transport, the listed activities and the educational follow-up before and after the stay. Departures from cities other than Paris can be arranged as paid options, listed separately. Availability, dates and prices may change quickly. Please always confirm details directly with the camp provider before making travel arrangements.
