Talent Academy – Sotogrande Camps runs a day-camper option alongside its residential programme on the coast of Cadiz, in the Sotogrande resort area of Andalusia. Day campers follow the same timetable as boarders from mid-morning to the evening and go home at the end of the camp day, which suits families already staying on the Costa del Sol or living nearby. The morning belongs to sport. Campers pick a main discipline and train for two hours: golf, tennis, padel, football, riding, dance and fitness, or water sports at the sailing club and beach, which take in paddle surf, kayak, catamaran sailing and wing foil. The afternoon is given to the language and skills programme. Younger campers take the Life Skills track, teenagers the Power Skills track, and teenagers who want the language as the main focus can join the intensive Spanish course instead. Sessions are practical and activity-based, and the second language continues through sport and free time. Five programmes run at the camp, each with its own age band. Skills Factory is designed for primary-age children, Skills in Action and Wakesurf, Wake Up! for teenagers, and Teens Intensive Spanish for teenagers concentrating on the language. Older students can join the Staff Academy, a counsellor training track that places participants alongside the camp team in a bilingual working environment. Day campers use the same venues as boarders — the golf courses, tennis and padel courts, riding stables, football pitches, sailing club and beach around Sotogrande — and return to the camp estate, Cortijo Finca La Alcaidesa, for the swimming pool, dining room, lounge and classrooms. They are on site over the middle of the day and through the afternoon programme, so they eat with the camp during those hours; the camp does not publish a separate meal plan for day places, so families should confirm what is provided at the time of booking. Families drop off and collect at the camp’s meeting point in Sotogrande, and the camp confirms the exact arrangement and timings when a place is booked. Campers are grouped by age and supervised by the camp’s group leaders throughout the camp day. Stays are sold by the fortnight or as a three-week block, with a two-week minimum, and the counsellor programme runs for a fortnight. Riding and water sports as the morning discipline carry a weekly supplement, and a camp uniform is charged once per stay.
