Expanish Summer Camp Barcelona is a residential Spanish immersion camp for international teenagers, run by the Expanish language school in Barcelona. Students live at a supervised residence in the Sarria district, study Spanish five mornings a week and spend afternoons discovering the city through cultural activities, life skills workshops and excursions along the Catalan coast. The programme welcomes all language levels, from complete beginners to advanced speakers, with small classes taught entirely in Spanish by certified native teachers. Outside the classroom, students join guided city tours, flamenco and salsa classes, museum visits, supervised evening events and weekly day trips to destinations such as Tarragona, Sitges, Girona and the Costa Brava. The camp season runs from early July to mid August.

About the Course
The academic core of the camp is a Spanish immersion course of twenty lessons per week, held every weekday morning. Classes are taught entirely in Spanish by certified native teachers, are capped at fifteen students and cover speaking, listening, reading and writing. All levels are welcome, from complete beginners to advanced students, and course materials are included.

Accommodation
Students live at Residencia Sarria, a modern student residence in the quiet Sarria district of Barcelona, together with other camp participants. Rooms are shared doubles or duplex triples, each with a private ensuite bathroom. The residence has a swimming pool, gardens, an outdoor terrace, a cinema room, a music room, a cooking classroom, study rooms and social areas, with 24-hour reception, security and CCTV.
Meal Plan
All meals are included and served buffet-style at the residence. During day trips and excursions, lunch and snacks are provided by the camp.
Activities & Excursions
Afternoons bring three to five cultural activities per week, each lasting two to four hours: guided city tours, flamenco and salsa dance classes, museum visits and historic neighbourhood walks. Evenings feature three supervised social events per week, such as disco nights, movie screenings and night tours. Each week also includes a day trip or weekend adventure to places like Tarragona, Sitges, Girona, the Costa Brava or a water park.
Facilities
The camp is based between the Expanish school facilities and Residencia Sarria. The residence offers a swimming pool, gardens, an outdoor terrace, a cinema room, a music room, a cooking classroom, multiple study rooms, table tennis and foosball areas, laundry machines and 24-hour vending machines.
Camp Experience
The camp brings together teenagers from more than a dozen countries, creating an international environment where Spanish is the shared language. Alongside language learning, students build real-world skills through weekly workshops on public speaking, mindfulness, budgeting, cooking and first aid, and leave with new friendships from around the world.

The core programme of the summer camp: Spanish classes every weekday morning, four hours per day, taught entirely in Spanish by certified native teachers. Classes are capped at fifteen students and cover all four language skills, with materials included. Afternoons are dedicated to cultural activities and life skills workshops, and each week includes an excursion outside the city.
Twenty lessons per week, held Monday to Friday in the morning. Students are placed by level after an assessment and learn in small groups of up to fifteen.
Full Spanish immersion combined with cultural discovery of Barcelona, life skills workshops such as public speaking, budgeting and mindfulness, and supervised social activities in an international group.
