About

About the Course

Teen Club includes a General English 20 course: 4 lessons of 45 minutes every weekday, morning or afternoon, in classes of up to 15 students from many nationalities. Students may upgrade to General English 30 with 6 group lessons per day, or to Intensive English, which combines the group course with 10 one-to-one lessons per week. An online placement test before arrival, or a short test on the first day, places each student at the right level - from starter to advanced.

What’s Included

The programme is all-inclusive: English lessons, full-board accommodation at the Salini Resort, the full leisure programme, airport transfers, daily transport between residence and activities, course materials, a certificate, a welcome pack and 24/7 welfare are all part of one package. A one-time registration fee applies to each booking.

Accommodation

Students stay at the Salini Resort, a superior four-star hotel in the north of Malta overlooking the Mediterranean, about 15 minutes from the ESE main school in St Julians. Teenagers share standard quadruple rooms with en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, TV, hairdryer, safe and fridge, placed with students of the same gender and, as much as possible, different nationalities. Classrooms are inside the hotel, so there is no commute to lessons.

Meal Plan

Full board is served buffet-style in the students dining rooms: breakfast between 7:30 and 8:30, a hot lunch on weekdays with packed lunches at weekends, and dinner at 19:00. Menus change daily and include salads, pasta, pizza, meat, fish, fruit and dessert.

Activities & Excursions

The leisure programme runs daily from Monday to Friday with an activity in the morning or afternoon and another in the evening, a full-day activity on Saturday and a rest day on Sunday with optional extras. Included activities range from a welcome party and sports to trips to sandy beaches, seasonal access to the ESE Beach Club, boat trips and cultural tours around Malta.

More about this camp

The Teen Club is the residential teenage programme of ESE - European School of English, one of Malta's established language schools. It runs at the Salini Resort, a superior four-star hotel on a hillside above Salina Bay in the north of the island, about fifteen minutes by car from the ESE main school in St Julians. The location gives students a resort setting facing the Mediterranean, with lessons, meals, accommodation and evening activities all in one supervised place. The core course is General English with twenty lessons of forty-five minutes per week, taught on weekday mornings or afternoons in classes of up to fifteen students. Teenagers who want faster progress can upgrade to a thirty-lesson course or to the Intensive option, which adds ten one-to-one lessons per week to the group course. Every level is accepted, from complete starter to advanced: an online placement test before arrival, or a short test on the first day, decides the class. Lessons are built around topics chosen for teenage learners, with an emphasis on speaking confidently. Outside the classroom, the leisure programme fills each weekday with an activity in the morning or afternoon and another in the evening, plus a full-day activity on Saturday. Depending on the week, students visit Malta's sandy beaches, take boat trips, join cultural tours or use the seasonal ESE Beach Club, and the hotel itself offers a large outdoor pool and a tennis and padel court. Sunday is a rest day with optional extras. Students live in standard quadruple rooms with en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, TV, safe and fridge, shared with students of the same gender and, wherever possible, different nationalities. Buffet meals are served in the students' dining rooms three times a day, with packed lunches at weekends. ESE group leaders are present around the clock, a nurse and first aiders are on site, and a doctor is on call. Teenagers may also go out independently within age-based curfews, which gives older students a measured amount of freedom. Courses start every Monday within published seasonal windows, including an autumn season in October when the island is quieter and the sea is still warm. Airport transfers and daily transport are included, so parents only need to arrange flights, insurance and pocket money. The combination of hotel-standard accommodation, an international student mix and an all-inclusive fee makes the Teen Club a straightforward choice for families comparing supervised English camps in the Mediterranean.
