More about this camp

This Embassy Summer centre operates from the Campus Hub university residence at Msida, Malta, linked to St Martin's College. It accepts students aged 12 to 17. Programme and activities. The course listed is a General Language Course, combined with the cultural and social programme that a Mediterranean island setting allows. Malta is English-speaking, so students use the language outside the classroom as well as in lessons — a practical advantage over non-English-speaking destinations. Accommodation. Students stay at the purpose-built Campus Hub residence, described as having a true campus feel. Rooms are single, twin, triple or quad, all with air conditioning, desks and wardrobes, with shared bathrooms used by two to five students. Air conditioning is worth noting for a Mediterranean summer — not every Malta centre publishes it. The range from single to quad means families should confirm what will be allocated and whether a single carries a supplement. Ages, dates and duration. The centre accepts students aged 12 to 17 — entirely school-age, with no adult upper end, which suits families wary of mixed-age groups. Several arrival dates run across late June and into July at slightly different age configurations, so families should confirm which dates match their child's exact age. Location and travel. Msida is a central coastal town in Malta, near the University of Malta and close to everything on the island. Malta International Airport is around twenty minutes away. Transfer arrangements are not stated as included and should be confirmed. Who the programme may suit. This centre may suit families who want an English-speaking Mediterranean destination with air-conditioned campus accommodation, and those who prefer an all-school-age peer group. Note that Embassy runs more than one programme in Malta — a sport-focused option at the Mediterranean College of Sport is also in this catalogue — so families should compare the two on focus and accommodation before choosing.
