More about this camp

The TASIS Château des Enfants (CDE) summer programme operates at the TASIS campus in Montagnola, Switzerland, on the hilltop above Lake Lugano. It is the junior programme, specifically for young children aged 7 to 10. Programme and activities. Pitched at the youngest age group, this is a gentle programme built for 7-to-10-year-olds rather than stretched to fit them, using the TASIS campus and its lakeside alpine setting. TASIS is an established international school, so the residential structure is designed for children. Accommodation. Boarding students reside in on-campus accommodation at TASIS. Because TASIS operates as an international school, the residential and pastoral structure is established rather than assembled for the summer — a reassurance for families of a young child. Families should still ask about staff-to-child ratios and night-time supervision. Ages, dates and duration. The programme accepts children aged 7 to 10 — genuinely junior, so a young child is not sharing with teenagers. Six arrival dates are listed from mid-June. Location and travel. Montagnola is near Lugano, in the Italian-speaking Ticino region of southern Switzerland, on a hilltop above Lake Lugano. Milan and Zurich are the nearest airports, with Lugano closer. Transfer arrangements are not published. Who the programme may suit. This camp may suit families wanting a first residential experience for a young child aged 7 to 10, at an established international school in a beautiful lakeside setting. TASIS also runs Middle School and High School programmes at the same Montagnola campus for older children, so families with an older child should look at those. Parents of the youngest should confirm the supervision arrangements.
