We'll let you know when this camp adds new dates.
La Garenne Summer Camp is the summer programme of La Garenne International School, run on the school's own alpine campus above Villars-sur-Ollon in western Switzerland. Children and teenagers aged 6 to 16 spend mornings in English or French classes and afternoons on mountain sport, creative workshops and excursions across the Alps and Lake Geneva. Boarding and day camp places are both offered, and campers are grouped by age so that the activity programme matches each stage.

About
About the Course
Mornings belong to language learning. Campers take English or French classes on weekdays, in groups that the school says are open to every level from complete beginner to advanced. The teaching is practical and interactive rather than exam-driven, and books and school materials are covered by the camp fee. Teenagers also take workshops alongside their classes. Afternoons and evenings move outdoors, so the academic side stays light enough to feel like a holiday while still giving parents a measurable reason for the trip.
What’s Included
The camp is sold in fortnights, with two consecutive fortnights available as a combined four-week stay. Fees are quoted separately for the younger and older age groups and separately again for boarders and day campers. The published fee covers tuition, meals, accommodation for boarders, the activity and excursion programme, camp uniform, books and materials, wi-fi, local taxes and return transfers from Geneva Airport on the official travel dates. Optional activities, health insurance and personal spending sit outside the fee.
Accommodation
Boarders live in the school's own chalets on the campus, sharing rooms of four to five campers; part of the accommodation is en suite. Houses are supervised by resident staff, and personal laundry is covered by the fee. Day campers stay with their families locally and join the programme each weekday morning, leaving in the evening after the day's activities.
Meal Plan
Meals and snacks are prepared on campus and are included for boarders and day campers alike. The kitchen team accommodates most dietary requirements and allergies when families flag them in advance of arrival.
Activities & Excursions
Afternoons are built around the mountains and the lake. Younger campers hike in the Alps, take to Lake Geneva for water activities, and rotate through sport, arts and creative workshops. Teenagers get a more adrenaline-led version — canyoning, bridge jumping and mountain karting — plus expeditions further afield. Optional add-ons broaden the choice further, from a Juventus-coached football block and horse riding to paragliding, karting and multi-day excursions.
Facilities
The camp uses the boarding school's own campus above Villars-sur-Ollon, at roughly 1,300 metres in the Vaud Alps. Campers have the school chalets and their residential rooms, on-site dining, wi-fi and laundry, with the mountain trails, the resort and Lake Geneva reachable for the daily activity programme.
Camp Experience
La Garenne runs its summer camp inside a working Swiss boarding school, and that shows in how the day is organised: fixed morning classes, structured afternoons, resident house staff and supervision around the clock. The school reports over forty-five nationalities across a season, so campers land in a genuinely international group. Age banding is taken seriously — six to nine, ten to twelve and thirteen to sixteen each get their own activity programme rather than a shared one.
