The Super Ski Programme (ages 8–14) gives five full-day ski sessions per week on Villars' groomed slopes, with a warm, closely supervised campus atmosphere and a staff-to-student ratio of about 1:2. Key facts: Ages 8–14 (other winter programmes for ages 5–14 — enquire with the school). Level: minimum intermediate — students must ski red runs comfortably and safely. Dates 2027: nine fixed one-week sessions from 10 January to 13 March 2027 (session 6 runs 12–20 February around the school long weekend); multiple sessions can be combined, and longer stays are available on request. Price: from CHF 4'200 per week boarding (on campus all week including weekends) or from CHF 3'750 per week as a day student (Monday–Friday, 09:00–16:00). Location: La Garenne International School, Chemin des Chavasses 23, 1885 Chesières, Switzerland. Note: the school's published camp conditions (summer) list compulsory medical insurance at CHF 10 per day — confirm winter conditions with admissions. Best for: families of confident young skiers who want full ski days in a safe, premium Swiss boarding-school setting rather than a large anonymous resort camp. Parents should check: final dates and current prices (published prices are "from" rates), availability, exact inclusions and General Conditions for winter, ski equipment and lift pass arrangements, insurance requirements, airport transfer options and visa requirements. Information checked against official provider sources on 11 July 2026. Dates, prices and availability may change and should be confirmed directly with the camp provider.

Frequently Asked Questions

Students live inside a working Swiss boarding school with live-in staff and a staff-to-student ratio of about 1:2 — one of the highest in the Alps. Skiing is grouped by ability, and Super Ski requires a confirmed intermediate level (comfortable on red runs) so children are never pushed onto terrain beyond their ability.

More about this camp

La Garenne Winter Camp runs at the La Garenne international boarding school on Chemin des Chavasses in Chesières-Villars, in the Swiss Alps at around 1,300 metres. It is for children aged 8 to 14. This is a winter programme. Its listed dates fall in January, in the ski season, not the summer holidays. Families looking for a summer camp should choose a different programme; those wanting skiing have relatively few options in this catalogue. Programme and activities. The camp offers a rare combination: serious Alpine skiing plus life inside a working Swiss international boarding school. Skiing is the core activity, with the school providing the residential and pastoral structure around it. Accommodation. Boarding students live on the La Garenne campus at Chesières-Villars all week. Using the school's own boarding infrastructure means the residential setup is permanent and designed for children rather than assembled for the camp — reassuring for parents of a younger child, though they should still ask about supervision on the slopes and in the evenings. Ages, dates and duration. The camp accepts children aged 8 to 14 — genuinely junior. A wide set of winter dates is listed, running into January 2027. Families of the youngest children should ask how age and ability groups are organised for skiing. Location and travel. Chesières-Villars is above the Rhône valley in the canton of Vaud, near Villars-sur-Ollon. Geneva is the usual arrival airport, with winter travel conditions to factor in. Transfer arrangements are not published. Who the programme may suit. This camp may suit families wanting a winter ski camp for a younger child, combined with the structure of a real Swiss boarding school. It does not suit families looking for a summer programme, or those wanting a language-immersion focus. Parents of the youngest children should confirm how skiing is supervised and how ability groups are arranged before booking.
