About

About the Course

The camp runs a combined academic and sports programme in English. Each camper chooses one morning academic option from English, French, STEAM, or public speaking and debating, and one afternoon activity from lake and mountain, football, tennis, or elite tennis. Lessons run Monday to Friday in groups of up to ten students, so instructors can adapt the pace to each child. Over a two-week session the camp provides roughly 30 hours of academic and creative work alongside a similar amount of sport and outdoor activity.

What’s Included

Fees are described by the provider as all-inclusive. The package covers accommodation in the boarding houses or the day-camp option, meals, the daily academic and sports workshops, English and French lessons, cultural excursions and local trips, Geneva Airport transfers within the stated arrival and departure windows, and supervision by qualified instructors and mentors. Private lessons, a helicopter ride, a paragliding experience and airport transfers outside the stated windows are offered separately as optional extras.

Accommodation

Residential campers live in the modern boarding houses on the St. George's International School campus overlooking Lake Geneva. Rooms are mainly shared doubles with ensuite bathrooms, and campers are grouped by age, gender and nationality. The boarding area includes study and lounge space, high-speed Wi-Fi, secure fingerprint access and supervision around the clock, and bed linen, bath towels, laundry and housekeeping are provided.

Meal Plan

Meals are prepared fresh on campus by professional chefs using local, seasonal ingredients. Residential campers receive breakfast, lunch and dinner, while lunch and snacks are provided for all campers. Dietary needs and allergies are accommodated, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available, and the camp adds themed international dinners, barbecue evenings, Swiss fondue evenings and lakeside picnics through the programme.

Activities & Excursions

Afternoons are built around sport and the outdoors. Campers can focus on football, tennis or elite tennis with professional coaching, or take the lake and mountain option with hiking, bouldering and lakeside activities. Excursions run through the programme and include Lake Geneva promenades, an alpine day in Les Marecottes, the Swiss Vapeur Park, an aquarium, an eco-farm and Servion Zoo, with residential campers also joining weekend trips.

Facilities

The camp uses the St. George's International School campus in Montreux, set between Lake Geneva and the Swiss Alps. Campers have access to the school's teaching rooms, the boarding houses with study and lounge areas, high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the boarding area, and on-site medical support with registered nurses and partnerships with local hospitals for urgent care.

Camp Experience

The camp is aimed at children who want a Swiss summer that mixes learning with the outdoors. Days move from morning lessons to afternoon sport and evening activities, and rooms and classes are mixed internationally so campers practise English naturally with peers from other countries. Staff are certified in first aid and child protection, background checked and required to have experience in youth programmes, and supervision is provided around the clock.

More about this camp

St. George's International School opens its Montreux campus to summer campers aged 8 to 16, running a programme that splits the day between the classroom and the outdoors. The setting matters here: the campus sits above Lake Geneva with the Swiss Alps behind it, which is what makes the afternoon activity list possible. Mornings are academic and creative. Each camper picks one option and stays with it for the session: English, French, STEAM, or public speaking and debating. Classes are capped at ten students, so instructors can work at the pace of the group. Over a two-week session the camp counts roughly 30 hours of academic work, which is around 15 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Afternoons move outside. Campers choose one activity to focus on, either the lake and mountain option with hiking, bouldering and lakeside activities, or a sport with professional coaching in football, tennis or elite tennis. Excursions run through the programme and take campers to the Lake Geneva promenade, the Swiss Vapeur Park, an alpine day in Les Marecottes, an aquarium, an eco-farm and Servion Zoo. Residential campers also join weekend trips, which is the clearest practical difference between the two ways of attending. The camp offers two formats. Residential campers live in the school's boarding houses on campus, mainly in shared double rooms with ensuite bathrooms, grouped by age, gender and nationality. The boarding area has study and lounge space, high-speed Wi-Fi and fingerprint access, and linen, towels, laundry and housekeeping are provided. Day campers attend Monday to Friday from morning until late afternoon, with lunch and snacks included. Both formats are all-inclusive as the provider describes them, covering meals, workshops, language lessons and excursions. Food is prepared on campus by professional chefs using local, seasonal ingredients. Residential campers get breakfast, lunch and dinner; dietary needs and allergies are accommodated, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Themed international dinners, barbecue evenings and Swiss fondue evenings sit alongside the everyday menu. On supervision and safety, the camp keeps registered nurses on campus around the clock, works with local hospitals for urgent care, and requires background checks, child protection training, first aid certification and a minimum of three years of youth-programme experience from its staff. Accident insurance is included, though families are asked to arrange their own health coverage from home and to travel on a passport valid for at least six months. Geneva International Airport is about an hour away, and transfers are included for residential campers within the arrival and departure windows the camp publishes; staff meet campers at the airport. Transfers outside those windows, private lessons in French, English or tennis, and optional helicopter and paragliding experiences are available separately. Classes and boarding rooms are mixed internationally by design, so English gets practised in the corridor as much as in the classroom. For families weighing a Swiss camp, the draw is the combination: a working international school campus, small teaching groups, and an afternoon programme that uses the lake and the mountains rather than only the school grounds.
