The program consists of a main four-week session in Barcelona. Students may also choose to add the Paris Connection, a short extension at the end of the program.
Fees include accommodation, classroom instruction, workshops, field trips, two daily meals (breakfast and supper), and all program-organized activities. A select number of scholarships based on financial need are also available.
Students choose a Major and a Minor, taught in Spanish or English, from options including Architecture, Creative Writing, Culture and Cuisine, Fashion and Design, International Business, International Relations, Marine Biology, Medicine, Psychology, Spanish Language, and Photography. Several immersion courses taught entirely in Spanish are available for students with two or more years of Spanish.
A typical day begins with a communal breakfast, followed by Major classes held in classrooms, labs, studios, or out in Barcelona. Students arrange their own lunch at local restaurants or sandwich shops. Three afternoons a week are devoted to Minor classes; on other afternoons students can join optional activities such as sport, museum visits, or the beach. The day ends with a full-group dinner and evening activities, events, or shows.
Students reside at the Kadora Student Residence in Sarrià, a quiet neighborhood within minutes of the city center, where they also eat breakfast and supper and attend classes. Students are housed in singles or doubles, and all rooms have air conditioning and private bathrooms. Residents have access to common areas as well as sporting and educational facilities such as gyms, basketball courts, tennis courts, and pitches.
Shortly after the program, all students and their parents receive a comprehensive set of grade reports presenting the course syllabus and highlighting the student's specific contributions and achievements within their course or courses.
