About

About the Course

The morning sports block changes daily: mountain biking on Monday, tennis on Tuesday, outdoor adventure activities on Wednesday, bouldering on Thursday, and ball sports and tactical team games on Friday. Nobody has to have done any of them before.

What’s Included

The weekly price covers accommodation, full board, the morning sports block, three afternoon excursions a week, the other sports and the evening programme, round-the-clock supervision and the registration fee. Room upgrades, accompanied train travel and the airport transfer are booked separately.

Accommodation

Participants stay at the Domaine du Monteret in St-Cergue, the same site as Filolo’s language and tennis camps. A place in a shared 10-bed room is included; 5-bed and 2-bed rooms are available as paid upgrades.

Meal Plan

Full board is prepared by the camp’s own kitchen team. Special diets are catered for when the kitchen is told in advance.

Activities & Excursions

Five sports over five mornings, then three excursions a week and further sport in the afternoons, and a leisure programme in the evenings. The afternoon and evening programme is shared with the language and tennis camps on the same site, so groups are mixed by country and by language.

Facilities

The camp occupies a private complex in the Jura Vaudois Nature Park at about 1000 metres, with its own football and basketball grounds, table tennis and campfire areas, and its own kitchen. Geneva airport is around 35 minutes by car.

Camp Experience

St-Cergue is a mountain village of about three thousand people on the Jura plateau, looking across Lake Geneva to Mont Blanc. The camp runs in the autumn half-term, over the spring holidays and through the summer. A week runs from Sunday arrival to Saturday departure.

More about this camp

The Domaine du Monteret sits in private forest above St-Cergue, on the Jura plateau at about a thousand metres, with Lake Geneva below and Mont Blanc across it. Filolo runs its multisport camp there for children and teenagers aged 10 to 17. The idea is breadth rather than depth. Each weekday morning has its own sport: mountain biking to start the week, tennis on Tuesday, outdoor adventure activities on Wednesday, bouldering on Thursday, and ball sports with tactical team games to finish. A child who has never been on a mountain bike or touched a climbing wall gets to try five things in a week instead of repeating one, which is a different proposition from a single-sport camp and suits a lot of children better. Afternoons move off the morning’s sport: three excursions a week are included, and the rest goes to further sport and activities. Evenings have their own programme, shared with the language and tennis camps on the same site, which is why the groups here end up mixed by country and by language. Participants sleep in shared rooms, with smaller rooms bookable as an upgrade, and the kitchen cooks on site. Supervision is round the clock. The camp runs in the autumn half-term, over the spring holidays and through the summer; arrival is Sunday, departure Saturday.
