A winter multi-activity camp at the Chalet l'Alpestre in Notre-Dame-du-Pre, a small family resort in Savoie at about 1 275 metres, ten minutes from La Plagne. Children aged 6 to 12 are placed by level and then ski for two days on the Montalbert and La Plagne area with the camp leaders, learning the snowplough, turns and pole planting. Away from the pistes the week brings a dog-sledding session with a professional musher, including grooming, harnessing and feeding the dogs, a snowshoe walk starting from the centre, outdoor skating on a rink in the village of La Plagne, team and solo sledging races, a trapper-style snack of grilled marshmallows and bananas by the fire, and the big games, themed days and evening entertainment the team puts together.

About the Course
The week is built around snow. Children are placed by level and then ski for two days on the Montalbert and La Plagne area with the camp leaders, working on the snowplough, turns and pole planting with the team watching over safety. A dog-sledding session with a professional musher takes the group through the forest, and the children also groom, harness and feed the dogs.
What’s Included
The price covers accommodation at the Chalet l'Alpestre, full board cooked on site, the two days of skiing, the dog-sledding session, the snowshoe walk, outdoor skating and the rest of the activity programme, plus the supervision team. Accompanied travel from a departure city is booked separately and is listed under extras; children can also be brought directly to the centre.
Accommodation
The centre is a renovated chalet in a wooded park of three hectares. Children sleep in large rooms of three to six beds with bathrooms close by; some rooms have their own facilities. There is a ski store on site.
Meal Plan
Meals are home-made by the centre's own cook and served in the chalet's large dining room, with regional dishes on the menu. Full board is included for the whole stay.
Activities & Excursions
Beyond the two ski days there is a dog-sledding session with a musher, a snowshoe walk starting from the centre, outdoor skating on a rink in the village of La Plagne, and sledging in teams or solo. A trapper-style snack of grilled marshmallows and bananas is shared by the fire. The animation team adds big games, themed days and evening entertainment, adapting the programme to the group and the weather.

The Chalet l'Alpestre sits in a wooded park of three hectares. It has a large dining room, five activity rooms, a meeting room with a library and games, a bar area, a ski store and wi-fi in the common areas.
Camp Experience
A residential stay for children aged six to twelve in a small family resort at about 1 275 metres, ten minutes from La Plagne and twenty-five from Moutiers. Supervision is one adult for every eight children, including a qualified camp director and a leader holding a first-aid certificate. Children arrive at the centre in the late afternoon of the first day and leave in the morning of the last.
