The wider programme features cultural and sporting activities, beach experiences, excursions, and group events that help students use French beyond the classroom. Participants improve their French, share joyful moments on the beach, and discover the joys of sailing, leaving with precious friendships and unforgettable memories. The programme combines morning French classes with afternoon activities including sailing, beach games, excursions, and evening parties on campus, with the option for students to go off-campus in the evening with parental permission.
French classes take place in the morning from Monday to Friday, with a maximum of 15 students per class to ensure personalized attention. Teachers prioritize a fun environment conducive to developing oral skills so everyone can gain in confidence. Through active teaching methods developed by the Centre International d'Antibes, and short teaching sequences alternating phases of concentration and interaction, teachers hold the interest of students and engage them in written and spoken production as well as reading and listening comprehension. The programme offers general French teaching with a focus on learning the essential spoken, written, and grammar competencies for each level. On the first day, students take a placement test to determine their language level, ranging from complete beginner to advanced. In line with the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, teachers bring their students on by creating learning and classroom activities that hold the interest of young learners during the 3 hours of each morning session. The standard course consists of 20 lessons of 45 minutes each, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. An intensive option of 6 additional lessons per week is available for an additional fee, with afternoon classes in small groups of no more than 8 students.
The course focuses on developing French language skills through interactive morning classes combined with seaside activities and cultural excursions on the French Riviera.
