About

About the Course

Five half-days are given to riding: mounting, horse knowledge and activities around the horse, under the responsibility of State-qualified instructors. After a settling-in session, riders are divided into small groups by level, from complete beginner to confirmed, and work in the indoor school, on forest trails and over jumps. The week also includes an outing to the Naturéo water park, with its play pool and 25-metre pentagliss slide, plus olympiads, large-scale games and evening activities at the château.

What’s Included

The camp price covers full-board accommodation, the activities and excursions on the programme, State-qualified instructors for the specialist activities, activity equipment, booking fees and repatriation assistance insurance including COVID cover. An accompanied journey from the departure cities listed in the operator's brochure and a cancellation insurance are offered as paid options.

Accommodation

Young people stay at the château de Saint-Cyran, set in a 15-hectare park, in eight-bed rooms with washrooms on each floor, in the renovated part of the boarding wing.

Meal Plan

Meals are served self-service in the château's great hall or in the park. Packed lunches are provided on outing days.

Activities & Excursions

Horse riding and horse care, an outing to the Naturéo water park, olympiads, large-scale games and evening activities.

More about this camp

Graine de cavalier is run by Nouvelles Vagues at the château de Saint-Cyran, which stands in a 15-hectare park. Riding fills five half-days and is taught by State-qualified instructors: after a settling-in session with the horses, riders are split into small groups by level and work in the indoor school, on forest trails and over jumps. The equestrian centre has two indoor schools, three outdoor arenas, a gallop track, a cross-country course and a network of bridle paths, so the week covers ground rather than circling one arena. Horse knowledge and stable work sit alongside the riding. Away from the horses there is an outing to the Naturéo water park, with a play pool and a 25-metre pentagliss slide, and back at the château olympiads, large-scale games and organised evenings. Children sleep in eight-bed rooms in the renovated boarding wing and eat self-service in the château’s great hall or outside in the park.
