The Biarritz French summer camp is a language immersion programme for teenagers in a distinctive Atlantic coastal city between sea and mountains. Biarritz offers beaches, surf culture, outdoor recreation, and access to Basque regional life, giving students a different French setting from the Mediterranean camps. The programme brings young people together in a caring, international environment where they can improve French, take part in active leisure, and share daily life with peers from around the world. The teaching approach focuses on communication and building students’ confidence to speak French. Lessons use engaging situations and role-play, while active classroom sequences support spoken and written production, reading, listening, and language accuracy. Outside class, students can participate in surf-related activities, beach games, cultural visits, creative sessions, excursions, and evening entertainment. Group leaders are present continuously and manage curfews and parental permissions carefully. The combination of Atlantic outdoor life, supervised group activities, and practical French use helps teenagers experience the language as part of everyday life.

The Standard French Course in Biarritz offers a top-quality language immersion experience on the French Basque coast, combining French language learning with cultural discoveries and a holiday atmosphere. The program takes place in Saint-Pée-sur-Nivelle, just 17 km southeast of Biarritz, in a friendly and secure campus environment. Students from 30 different nationalities come together to improve their French skills while sharing unforgettable moments, creating lasting memories and international friendships.
French classes are held from 8:30 to 11:45 a.m. with no more than 15 students per class. Teachers aim to prioritize the development of students' self-confidence in speaking French, creating an engaging environment where students can focus on communication in role-playing situations. Through active teaching methods developed by the Centre International d'Antibes, and short teaching sequences alternating phases of concentration and interaction, teachers hold the interest of students and engage them in written and spoken production as well as reading and listening comprehension. On the first Monday, students take a written and oral French test in the morning to assess their language level and assign them to a class. The course offers general French teaching with a focus on learning the essential spoken, written, and grammar competencies for each level. In line with the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, teachers create learning and classroom activities that hold the interest of young learners during the 3 hours of each morning session.
The course focuses on developing French language skills through interactive morning classes in a warm and caring environment, emphasizing communication and self-confidence in speaking.
