A medieval mystery camp at the Manoir du Viginet in Saint-Nectaire, in the volcano country of Auvergne. Children aged 6 to 12 become investigators of the Middle Ages: they decipher old codes, follow forgotten clues and work against the clock as a team to solve the riddle of the manor and find the combination of the treasure chest. The adventure ends with a medieval banquet hosted by the Duke and Duchess, with jugglers, magicians, fire-eaters and legends told around a fire. Between missions there are coats of arms to design, foam-arrow archery contests, miniature fortresses to build, big group games and time in the heated indoor pool of the centre.

About the Course
The programme is built around one medieval mystery that runs through the whole stay. Children work in small teams: they decode old scripts, collect clues hidden around the manor and its grounds, and solve logic puzzles and physical challenges that together open the treasure chest. Progress is staged, so every day adds one more piece of the answer.
What’s Included
The price covers accommodation at the Manoir du Viginet, full board prepared by the centre's own cook, the whole activity programme including the escape game, the medieval banquet and use of the heated indoor pool, and supervision by a qualified team. Accompanied travel from a departure city is booked separately and is listed under extras; children can also be brought straight to the centre.
Accommodation
Children sleep in the manor in rooms of four to eight beds, with sanitary facilities close by. The estate also has gypsy caravans of four beds with their own sanitary block. The building is a restored manor house that has kept its medieval character, set in a park of nineteen hectares.
Meal Plan
Meals are prepared on site by the centre's cook and served in the manor's dining room, which is built around a large fireplace. Full board is included for the whole stay.
Activities & Excursions
Alongside the investigation there are medieval workshops - designing coats of arms, building miniature fortresses, archery with foam arrows - plus big group games, themed days and evening entertainment put together by the activity team. The heated indoor pool is on site and used for free time. The stay finishes with a medieval banquet: jugglers, magicians, fire-eaters, legends told around a fire and a ball.
Facilities
The centre stands on an estate of nineteen hectares and has a heated indoor pool, a dining room with a fireplace, a large activity hall used for group sessions and evening events, four classrooms, a central courtyard, a BMX track, a road-safety training track and a kitchen garden.
Camp Experience
A residential stay for children aged six to twelve, in groups of about twelve, with one adult for every eight children including a qualified camp director and a leader holding a first-aid certificate. Children arrive at the centre in the late afternoon of the first day and leave in the morning of the last.

There are no classroom lessons — the whole stay is built around a single immersive medieval mystery that unfolds day by day. Children work in small teams, learning by doing: decoding old scripts, gathering clues hidden around the manor and its grounds, and solving logic puzzles and physical challenges that gradually unlock the answer. Medieval-themed workshops, group games and a final banquet complete the programme. Supervision is one adult per eight children, with a qualified camp director and a first-aid qualified leader.
The camp focuses on building teamwork, problem-solving and creative thinking through a supervised, story-driven medieval investigation.
