Winter Multi-Glide
OVAL’s winter holiday camps take place in the heart of Haute-Savoie, in the charming resort of Grand-Bornand and the nearby village of Saint-Jean-de-Sixt. Surrounded by the majestic Aravis mountain range, the camps offer a true alpine experience with direct access to ski slopes, breathtaking views, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Accommodation is provided in comfortable chalets that combine traditional Savoyard charm with modern amenities. These camps are designed for children and teenagers aged 6 to 17 who want to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, or a multi-activity mountain holiday. The programme includes full-board accommodation, ski equipment, qualified instruction, and a wide range of winter activities. The main goal is to help young people progress on the slopes, discover new passions, build independence, and make lasting friendships in a safe and supportive environment.

About
About the Course
The winter sports programmes are led by qualified ski instructors and BAFA-certified activity leaders. Whether your child is a complete beginner or already comfortable on skis, the camps adapt to different levels so everyone can progress at their own pace. Ski and snowboard lessons are delivered in small groups by ESF or ESI instructors, focusing on technique, safety, and enjoyment. For beginners, the emphasis is on learning the basics and gaining confidence; for more advanced participants, there is the opportunity to refine turns, master speed control, or try freeride and freestyle activities. No prior experience is required.
What’s Included
The price of the stay is all-inclusive. It covers accommodation, full board, ski equipment (skis, snowboard, poles, boots, helmet), ski passes, lessons with qualified instructors, supervision by activity leaders, and all organised activities and evening entertainment. Personal expenses such as pocket money for souvenirs or snacks are not included.
Accommodation
Children stay in one of OVAL’s welcoming chalets in Grand-Bornand or Saint-Jean-de-Sixt, such as La Jaillette, Le Château, or Les Mille Fleurs. Rooms are spacious and functional, typically sleeping 4 to 10 children, with some rooms having private bathrooms. Boys and girls are housed separately by age. Each centre offers common lounges, games rooms, libraries, and outdoor areas. Wi-Fi is available for adults only. The houses are inspected and approved by French authorities, and staff provide 24-hour supervision.
Meal Plan
Full board is provided, with all meals prepared on-site by the kitchen staff. Menus are balanced and portion sizes are adapted to the children’s age, physical activity level, and dietary needs. Breakfast is a generous buffet served at staggered times. Meals are eaten together with the activity leaders, creating a friendly and sociable atmosphere. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated.
Activities & Excursions
Beyond skiing and snowboarding, the camps offer a wide range of winter activities: cross-country skiing, biathlon, snowshoeing, sledding, ice skating, and various snow games such as building igloos and giant snowball fights. Each evening, an activity is organised – from game nights and musical challenges to storytelling, discos, and themed meals. The goal is to provide a fun, varied, and enriching experience that encourages discovery, teamwork, and shared moments.
Facilities
The chalets offer bright dining rooms, activity and classroom spaces, libraries, games rooms, terraces, gardens, and play areas. Ski slopes are either directly accessible or a short bus/minibus ride away. The centres are located close to shops and other amenities in the village. Wi-Fi is available for adults only. Outside the campus, children have access to the Grand-Bornand ski area, ice rinks, and other local attractions.
Camp Experience
With over 35 years of experience in organising holiday camps, OVAL provides a safe, welcoming, and well-supervised environment. The team includes qualified ski instructors, BAFA-certified activity leaders, and a health assistant at each centre. The association’s houses are regularly inspected by French authorities, and health and safety standards are rigorously maintained. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, with a focus on helping children grow, gain confidence, and build friendships away from home. Parents receive regular updates via a blog, and children are encouraged to write home.
