Collège du Léman Summer Camp runs on the school's lakeside campus in Versoix, just outside Geneva, and welcomes boys and girls aged 8 to 18 from around the world. The camp is built around choice: in every two-week session campers pick four activities from more than twenty-six options spanning academics, sport, art, leadership and pure fun, with a morning and an afternoon activity each week. Boarding campers live in supervised villas on campus with full board, evening programmes and weekend excursions around Switzerland, while day campers join the programme from morning until late afternoon. Watersports on Lake Geneva, campus sports facilities, creative studios and Swiss excursions give the camp its character.

About

About the Course

The camp programme is organised in two-week sessions. In each session a camper chooses four activities in total: one morning activity and one afternoon activity for each of the two weeks. Options are grouped as academic, sport, art, leadership and recreational, so a camper can build a week around one interest or mix several. Morning activities run Monday to Friday; afternoon activities run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with the whole camp joining a pool party on Wednesday afternoon. Sessions can be combined into longer stays.

What’s Included

Campers can join as boarders or as day campers. The boarding package covers accommodation on campus, full board, the chosen activities, evening programmes, weekend activities and excursions, and airport pick-up and drop-off. The day package covers the daytime programme with lunch. A small number of afternoon activities are offered as premium options at an additional weekly cost, chosen at registration.

Accommodation

Boarding campers live on the school campus in Versoix, in separate boarding villas for girls and for boys, supervised around the clock by Collège du Léman boarding staff. Campers who would like to share with a friend can ask the camp to arrange it. Day campers are not accommodated on campus.

Meal Plan

Boarding campers receive breakfast, lunch and dinner on campus for the whole stay. Day campers are served lunch in the middle of the day as part of the day programme.

Activities & Excursions

More than twenty-six activities are offered across academics, sport, art, leadership and fun, and campers pick their own. Sport and watersports on Lake Geneva sit alongside creative studios and workshops. Boarders also have an evening programme after dinner, grouped by age, that has included bowling, laser game, outdoor games, a campus disco, capoeira and circus shows and team challenges. Weekends bring karting, an aquapark, sports tournaments, nature parks and shopping, together with visits such as a cheese dairy in Gruyere, a chocolate factory, a watchmaking museum, a Swiss city and the mountains.

Facilities

The camp uses the Collège du Léman campus on the shore of Lake Geneva, a short distance from Geneva. The campus has an indoor sports hall, swimming facilities used for camp pool sessions, and on-site residences where boarding campers stay.

Camp Experience

The camp suits children and teenagers from eight to eighteen who want a Swiss summer built around their own choices rather than a fixed timetable. A camper can spend mornings on an academic or creative workshop and afternoons on the lake, meet peers from many countries, and finish the day with an evening programme on campus. Boarders travel out at weekends to see Switzerland; day campers go home each afternoon. Supervision is continuous for boarders and the camp is run by the school's own staff on its own campus.

More about this camp

Collège du Léman Summer Camp is run by the school itself on its campus in Versoix, between Geneva and the French border, on the shore of Lake Geneva. The camp is open to boys and girls aged eight to eighteen and can be joined either as a boarder, living on campus, or as a day camper who arrives in the morning and goes home in the late afternoon. The programme is organised in two-week sessions, and sessions can be combined into longer stays. What makes the camp unusual for its size is how much a family gets to decide. Rather than following a single fixed timetable, each camper selects four activities per session: one for the mornings of the first week, one for the afternoons of the first week, and the same again for the second. The catalogue runs to more than twenty-six options and is grouped into academic subjects, sport, art, leadership and purely recreational choices, so a child can specialise or deliberately mix. Morning activities run from Monday to Friday. Afternoon activities run on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, because on Wednesday afternoon the whole camp gathers for a pool party. A small number of afternoon activities are offered as premium options that carry an extra weekly charge, and these are chosen at the point of registration. Boarding campers live in residences on campus, with separate villas for girls and for boys, and are supervised around the clock by Collège du Léman boarding staff. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided, and airport pick-up and drop-off are arranged by the camp. After dinner there is an evening programme organised by age group, which has included bowling, laser game, outdoor games, a campus disco, capoeira and circus shows and team challenges. Weekends are used for wider activities and travel: karting, an aquapark, sports tournaments, nature parks and shopping, together with visits to a cheese dairy in Gruyere, a chocolate factory, a watchmaking museum, a Swiss city and the mountains. Day campers take part in the daytime programme and are served lunch, but do not join the evening and weekend elements. The campus itself gives the camp much of its character: an indoor sports hall, swimming facilities used for the camp's pool sessions, creative and workshop spaces, and the lake close at hand for watersports. For families weighing a Swiss summer, the camp offers a combination that is fairly rare — a real international school campus, a self-built activity week, and a location that puts both the lake and the Alps within easy reach. Availability, dates and prices may change quickly. Please always confirm details directly with the camp provider before making travel arrangements.
