Karting Camp at Saint Cyran du Jambot for Ages 8-15

The week is built around five karting sessions of two hours each, held on the 925-metre circuit at Chatillon-sur-Indre, eleven kilometres from the centre. It is one of the few tracks homologated by the French Karting Federation in both directions and is used for departmental and regional championships. Each session mixes driving and theory: racing lines, car control, cornering and road-safety awareness are worked through with a professional, and every run is timed so progress can be measured. In the first three sessions each child drives for about forty-five minutes; in the last two, built around endurance and assessment, driving time can reach an hour per participant. The week ends with a final race and a podium. Karts are 4-stroke 120 cc for drivers aged eight to thirteen and 4-stroke 270 cc for the oldest.

It's a fixed all-in package per participant, and its own product page lists no paid options for it. The package covers travel from the chosen French departure city — train from Paris to Saint-Pierre-des-Corps and then a private coach to the centre — accommodation and meals at the centre, the karting programme and the other activities, and the supervising team. Insurance, assistance, repatriation and medical costs are covered in full, and telephone assistance is available around the clock. Identity card or passport, vaccination record and a health information form are required before departure.

Participants stay at the residential centre at Saint Cyran du Jambot in the Indre, a permanent building with a capacity of one hundred. Rooms sleep eight, with washrooms directly opposite the rooms.

Meals are taken at the centre and are part of the fixed package.

Beyond the circuit the programme keeps the group busy with team sports, a heated indoor swimming pool near the centre, themed evening activities and the end-of-stay party that closes the camp.

The centre is a permanent building set in the Indre countryside with capacity for a hundred residents, multi-bed rooms and washrooms opposite them, and grounds for team sports. A heated indoor swimming pool is close by, and the karting circuit is eleven kilometres away at Chatillon-sur-Indre.

Groups are kept small — around twenty-four participants, with a minimum of twelve for the departure to run. The team is led by an experienced BAFD-qualified director, with one BAFA-qualified counsellor for every eight to ten young people and a welfare assistant holding first-aid certification. All staff are salaried on a French CEE contract, and the managers hold regular reviews with the team during the stay.
