Défis et Sensations — multi-activity camp at the Manoir du Viginet

A one-week multi-activity camp for children aged 6 to 12, built around motor sports, outdoor challenges and swimming. Supervision is one adult per eight children, with a BAFD-qualified director and a first-aid qualified (PSC1) leader on the team.

The price covers accommodation, meals, supervision and membership of the association, and that membership carries the operator's MAIF cover for accidents, medical repatriation, civil liability and assistance. Personal belongings are not covered, and cancellation cover is a separate paid option. Supervised return travel from a departure city is a paid option and is listed under Extras; families who bring their child to the centre themselves pay the on-site rate. A health record form and a copy of the vaccination record are required before departure.

Accommodation is at the Manoir du Viginet, a restored manor on a 19-hectare estate that Temps Jeunes owns and runs itself. Children sleep in rooms of one to nine beds, with additional four-bed gypsy caravans that have their own sanitary block. The centre holds 95 people and has four classrooms, a large activity hall used for group time and evening events, a dining room with a fireplace and a central courtyard.

Full board. Meals are prepared on site by the centre's own cook and served in the manor's dining room, which is built around a large fireplace.

Electric quad riding on the road-safety track, then a supervised session on a 50cc off-road quad with full protective kit. BMX and scooter riding on the centre's own dirt circuit with jumps, banked turns and wooden modules. A full-scale orienteering course across the wooded estate with map, compass and hidden markers. A tree-top adventure course with rope bridges, suspended nets and zip lines. Team challenges and diving games in the heated indoor pool. A themed day and evening entertainment complete the week.

Saint-Nectaire sits in the Puy-de-Dôme at the heart of Auvergne, within reach of the Sancy massif, the volcanoes of the Chaîne des Puys, Lake Chambon and Lake Pavin, and the château of Murol. The centre keeps its medieval character, and the estate gives the group room to run a full orienteering course without leaving the grounds.
