More about this camp

The BLI FLAP Summer Camp is held in Quebec City, Canada, for juniors and teenagers aged 12 to 17, at a beautiful central campus in the heart of the city. Quebec City is one of North America's most historic and strongly French-speaking cities, which shapes the character of the immersion. Programme and activities. The camp is a language programme in a city famous for its historic charm and French-Canadian culture. The old-town setting and the predominantly French environment support immersion outside the classroom. Accommodation and meals. Students are offered homestay with carefully selected local families, including a shared room and three daily meals. Homestay adds everyday French practice and family life, but means daily travel to the campus and evenings with the family rather than under school supervision. Families should confirm typical travel times, and note the shared-room arrangement. Ages, dates and duration. The camp accepts juniors and teenagers aged 12 to 17. Two arrival dates are listed from mid-June. Families should confirm whether further dates are available. Location and travel. Quebec City is in the province of Quebec, eastern Canada, served by Québec City Jean Lesage Airport, with Montreal a larger hub around three hours away. Families travelling from outside Canada should check entry requirements well in advance. Who the programme may suit. This camp may suit families wanting French immersion in a historic, strongly French-speaking Canadian city, with a genuine homestay experience. Those wanting a more bilingual French-and-English environment should compare the provider's Montreal camp, which takes children from 8 and offers a residence option as well as homestay. Families comfortable with the shared-room homestay will find Quebec City a distinctive setting.
