More about this camp

This language summer camp is held in Montreal, Quebec — described as Canada's most bilingual metropolis — for juniors and teenagers aged 8 to 17. The bilingual character of the city is the distinguishing feature: students can be immersed in French and English in a way few single-language destinations allow. Programme and activities. The camp is a language programme in the heart of a dynamic, famously cultural city. Montreal's festivals, neighbourhoods and North American-European blend shape the activity and excursion side. Accommodation. Two options are available: homestay with carefully selected local families, or a residence. These suit different children — homestay adds everyday language practice and family life but involves daily travel, while a residence keeps students together under more centralised supervision. Families should confirm what each option includes and costs. Ages, dates and duration. The camp accepts a wide 8 to 17 range — from primary age to older teenagers — with four arrival dates from mid-June. Families of the youngest children should ask how age groups are separated, and which language the immersion emphasises for their child. Location and travel. Montreal is in Quebec, eastern Canada, served by Montréal-Trudeau Airport with wide connections. Families travelling from outside Canada should check entry requirements well in advance, as these are not covered here. Who the programme may suit. This camp may suit families wanting a genuinely bilingual North American city for a language stay, with the flexibility of homestay or residence and a wide age range. Those wanting a purely French-speaking Canadian setting should compare the provider's Quebec City camp, which is in a more historically French environment. Families of younger children should confirm the age-grouping and supervision.
