Portugal is described by the operator as a country charged with history and close to France through shared ties, very different from its Spanish neighbour, valued for its mild sun, the welcome of its people and its food. This stay is built to balance cultural activity with games and sport across the two cities. Lisbon supplies the Alfama district and the São Jorge castle, an excursion to Sintra and the Quinta da Regaleira with its gardens, grottoes and wells, and the 'Lisboa Express' treasure hunt through Baixa, Alto and Chiado and out to the Belém Tower and the Jerónimos Monastery. Porto supplies the Douro, a karting circuit, a city beach and the Dragões stadium.

The price published by the operator covers accommodation, meals, the activities and excursions of the published programme, and insurance. Zigo Tours takes out cover for every participant — assistance and repatriation, individual accident, third-party liability, legal costs and baggage — and advances medical expenses during the stay. Travel is by direct flight, out of Paris to Lisbon and back from Porto to Paris. Pre-travel from regional cities can be arranged by the operator's transport department; it is quoted case by case and is not part of the published price.

The group stays in city-centre youth hostels, in single-sex dormitories of four to ten beds. Showers and toilets are shared and sit outside the rooms. A collective kitchen is available, along with a common room used for activities.

Breakfast is taken at the hostel, lunch is a picnic or a snack while the group is out, and dinners are eaten in snack bars or small restaurants.

Lisbon is worked through on foot: the Alfama and the São Jorge castle, then a day out to Sintra for the Quinta da Regaleira, whose gardens, grottoes and wells the operator calls magical and mysterious. The 'Lisboa Express' treasure hunt sets riddles that lead the group through Baixa, Alto and Chiado and out to the Belém Tower and the Jerónimos Monastery. In Porto the group takes the Six Bridges cruise on the Douro, drives two karting sessions on a circuit suited to its age, plays team games on one of the city beaches and visits the Dragões football stadium.

The hostels used are in the city centre and put a collective kitchen and a common or activity room at the group's disposal. Dormitories hold four to ten beds and are single-sex; showers and toilets are shared and outside the rooms. The group moves around on public transport — bus and tram — and on foot. Supervision is by a qualified director and activity leaders, one adult for every eight participants.
