Filolo's surf camp on the Portuguese Atlantic coast, at the Underdog Surf House in Praia da Areia Branca near Lourinhã, for teenagers aged 12 to 17. Twelve and a half hours of surf lessons a week, equipment included, with no more than eight children per instructor and groups from absolute beginner to advanced. Accommodation with full board and a relaxed activity programme fill the rest of the week, and supervision is round the clock. An accompanied flight from Zurich or Geneva can be booked, as can an English course alongside the surfing.

About the Course
Twelve and a half hours of surf lessons a week, equipment included. Groups are capped at eight children per instructor and run from absolute beginner to advanced, so a first-timer and someone who already surfs are not put in the same water. Extra lessons can be booked on top.
What’s Included
The weekly price covers the surf lessons with equipment, accommodation, full board, the leisure programme, round-the-clock supervision and the registration fee. Room upgrades, extra surf lessons, an optional English course and the accompanied flight from Zurich or Geneva are booked separately.
Accommodation
Participants stay at the Underdog Surf House in Praia da Areia Branca, a surf house with a pool and a games room. A place in a shared 9-bed room is included; 5-bed and 2-bed rooms are available as paid upgrades.

Activities & Excursions
Surfing is the spine of the week. Around it runs a deliberately relaxed activity programme — this is a camp built around the ocean and the house rather than a packed excursion schedule.

The Underdog Surf House sits a short walk from the beach at Praia da Areia Branca, with a pool, a terrace and a games room with a billiard table.
Camp Experience
Praia da Areia Branca is a beach on the Atlantic coast north of Lisbon, in the municipality of Lourinhã. It is a working surf beach rather than a resort, which is why the camp is there. Filolo runs one week in the autumn and six through the summer, and an accompanied flight from Zurich or Geneva means children can travel without a parent.
