About

About the Course

Training is delivered by licensed Bundesliga coaches. On arrival participants are divided into groups according to whether they have chosen indoor or beach volleyball, and the operator states that individual, performance-specific coaching secures progress for every participant, whether a beginner or already accomplished. The indoor course includes use of the sports ground and the sports hall; the beach course includes use of the sand courts. The operator publishes no number of lessons and no number of training hours for this camp, so no weekly volume is recorded. Alongside the training, participants can talk with Bundesliga players and professional athletes about their daily lives.

What’s Included

The package covers six nights in bungalows with multi-bed rooms fitted with WC and washbasin, full board, the volleyball training course including use of the sports ground and sports hall or the beach volleyball course including use of the sand courts, a leisure and sports programme, a barbecue evening with a campfire, show and disco evenings, an excursion to bathe at the Stauseebad Rabenstein reservoir pool, free entry to the holiday village's open-air pool, supervision and experienced tour leadership, a Jugendtours shirt, and insolvency insurance. Travel to and from the camp is arranged by participants themselves; details of the meeting point come with the travel documents.

Accommodation

The camp is held at the operator's spacious Feriendorf Hoher Hain holiday village, on the edge of Limbach-Oberfrohna and surrounded by greenery. Participants stay either in the bed house in multi-bed rooms with functional sanitary facilities located along the corridor, or in friendly, heatable bungalows with WC and centrally located sanitary facilities. The package as published covers bungalows with multi-bed rooms fitted with WC and washbasin.

Meal Plan

Full board is included and served in a comfortable dining room. The operator asks for special dietary requirements at the time of booking and lists vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose-related options among those it can cater for.

Activities & Excursions

Beyond the training there is a leisure and sports programme: swimming in the pool, a barbecue evening with a campfire, show and disco evenings, and an excursion to bathe at the Stauseebad Rabenstein reservoir pool. Free entry to the holiday village's open-air pool is included, and participants can simply relax in the sun at the adjoining lido. The holiday village's swimming pool, sports and games grounds, sports hall and climbing park are all included in the price.

Facilities

The holiday village has a swimming pool, sports and games grounds, a sports hall and a climbing park, all included in the price, plus an adjoining open-air pool to which entry is free for participants. Meals are served in a comfortable dining room. Sanitary facilities are either along the corridor in the bed house or centrally located for the bungalows.

Camp Experience

Jugendtours draws a distinction between its youth trips and children's holiday camps: participants are there to do a good deal independently with their friends, and the supervisory teams deliberately stay in the background. Some ground rules apply, in particular signing in and out with the team when leaving the accommodation at night. Supervisors come along on excursions and evening events, watch over compliance with general rules in participants' own interest, and are available as a point of contact at any time. The supervision ratio on a youth trip is about one to twenty. The setting is a training camp first: participants train with licensed Bundesliga coaches and can spend the time around the court at the lido, at the barbecue evenings or on the leisure programme.
