About

About the Course

A week on the mountain by day: daily skiing or snowboarding with qualified Swiss instructors from the ESS ski school, in groups matched to each camper's level. The activities listed are those of a typical week and that the final programme may change according to conditions.

What’s Included

The fee covers the day programme with meals, a ski pass for the 4 Vallées, skiing or snowboarding lessons with ESS instructors, cultural excursions, laundry facilities, supervision by school staff and Geneva transfers on the official arrival and departure dates and times. A non-refundable registration fee is charged separately, and optional extras — a photo pack, pocket money and private lessons — can be added on the enrolment form.

Accommodation

This is the day option of the camp: campers join the programme by day and go home in the evening, so no accommodation is included. The school also runs a boarding option for campers aged 10 to 17, who stay at its Chalet de Flore boarding house in the village.

Meal Plan

Meals during the camp day are part of the published camp package.

Activities & Excursions

Daily skiing or snowboarding with expert instruction on the 4 Vallées, more than 400 km of slopes, plus off-slope activities that include ice-skating, a climbing wall, escape room challenges and quiz nights, and a cultural excursion that takes campers beyond the mountains.

Facilities

The camp runs from the campus of Verbier International School, with a health centre and a nurse on duty around the clock and laundry facilities for campers. Verbier sits at the heart of the 4 Vallées, Switzerland's largest ski area.

Camp Experience

Some winter camps put two to three hundred children on the mountain at once; this one hosts 35 to 40. That means smaller ski groups matched to each child's level and instructors who know them.

More about this camp

Verbier International School runs its winter camp in Verbier, in the Swiss canton of Valais. The day option is for campers aged 7 to 17, who join the programme by day and go home in the evening. Campers ski or snowboard every day with qualified Swiss instructors from the ESS ski school, with access to the 4 Vallees and more than 400 km of slopes. The camp is deliberately small: 35 to 40 campers a week, against the two to three hundred that larger operators put on the mountain at once. That means ski groups matched to each child's level and instructors who know them by name. Off the slopes the week brings ice-skating, a climbing wall, escape room challenges and quiz nights, and a cultural excursion shows campers another side of Switzerland. The ski pass for the 4 Vallees, lessons with ESS instructors, cultural excursions, laundry, staff supervision and Geneva transfers on official arrival and departure days are part of the camp package. A nurse is on campus around the clock. The same school runs a boarding option for campers aged 10 to 17 and a summer camp built around adventure, leadership and culture.
