A boutique alpine summer camp run by Verbier International School on its own campus in Verbier, Switzerland, for boarding campers aged 10 to 17. The camp deliberately stays small — 35 to 40 campers per week — so groups are small and every camper is known by name. A typical week mixes adventure (an overnight expedition, the Verbier zipline, canyoning, tree climbing, water sports and mini golf), growth (leadership workshops, debating, public speaking and sports coaching) and culture (a UN Geneva tour, international evenings, a UNESCO heritage glacier visit and cultural excursions beyond Verbier). Boarders stay at Chalet Flore, a former four-star hotel a short walk from the main ski lift, in en-suite rooms with private balconies and mountain views.

About

About the Course

Mornings bring workshops; the rest of the week mixes adventure, leadership and culture. The programme is built for a cohort of 35 to 40 campers so that groups stay small, staff know every child by name and nothing is scaled back to manage logistics.

What’s Included

The fee covers full board and accommodation, all adventure activities, equipment, cultural excursions, morning workshops, laundry facilities, 24/7 supervision by school staff and Geneva airport transfers on the official arrival and departure dates and times. A non-refundable registration fee is charged separately, and optional extras — a photo pack, pocket money and private lessons — can be added on the enrolment form.

Accommodation

Boarders stay at Chalet Flore, a former four-star hotel 210 metres from the main ski lift in the heart of Verbier. Most rooms are double with an en-suite bathroom and private balconies with mountain views; there are also a few single and triple rooms. The house is supervised around the clock by school staff.

Meal Plan

Full board is included in the camp fee and served at the camp, with meals provided on activity and excursion days.

Activities & Excursions

Adventure: an overnight expedition, the Verbier zipline — the highest in Europe — canyoning, tree climbing, the Splash Boat, banana boat, Xtream Park surfing and mini golf. Growth: leadership workshops, debating, public speaking and sports coaching. Culture: a UN Geneva tour, international evenings, a UNESCO heritage glacier visit and cultural excursions beyond Verbier. The final programme is set on the ground and may shift with conditions.

Facilities

The camp runs on the campus of Verbier International School, with the Chalet Flore boarding house nearby, a health centre with a nurse on duty around the clock and laundry facilities for campers.

Camp Experience

Most camps in Verbier host two to three hundred children at a time; this one hosts 35 to 40. That means every camper is known by name, supported individually and never lost in a crowd, with the experience tailored to each child's confidence, pace and goals.

Mornings bring workshops; the rest of the week mixes adventure, leadership and culture. Campers take part in an overnight expedition, the Verbier zipline, canyoning, tree climbing and water activities, work on leadership, debating, public speaking and sports coaching, and discover Switzerland through a UN Geneva tour, a UNESCO heritage glacier visit, international evenings and cultural excursions. The school notes that the activities listed are those of a typical week and that the final programme is set on the ground and may shift with conditions.

Verbier International School (VIS) is a private international day and boarding school in the alpine resort of Verbier, in the Swiss canton of Valais. It teaches the IB Diploma Programme and a High School Diploma Programme alongside a primary school, a Middle Years Programme and a Forest School, and describes an education built on individual, family and holistic care. Outside term time the school runs boutique summer and winter camps for children aged 7 to 17, hosted on its own campus and in its Chalet Flore boarding house, with a deliberately small cohort of 35 to 40 campers per week. More about this camp

Verbier International School runs its summer camp on its own campus in Verbier, in the Swiss canton of Valais, for boarding campers aged 10 to 17. The camp is deliberately small: 35 to 40 campers a week, against the two to three hundred that larger operators host, so groups stay small and staff know every child by name. A typical week has three strands. Adventure brings an overnight expedition, the Verbier zipline — the highest in Europe — canyoning, tree climbing, the Splash Boat, banana boat, Xtream Park surfing and mini golf. Growth brings leadership workshops, debating, public speaking and sports coaching. Culture brings a UN Geneva tour, a UNESCO heritage glacier visit, international evenings and excursions beyond Verbier. Boarders stay at Chalet Flore, a former four-star hotel 210 metres from the main ski lift, in en-suite rooms with private balconies and mountain views. Full board, all adventure activities, equipment, cultural excursions, morning workshops, laundry, 24/7 supervision and Geneva airport transfers on official arrival and departure days are part of the fee. A nurse is on campus around the clock. The same school also runs a day option for younger campers, and a winter camp built around skiing and snowboarding in the 4 Vallées.
