About

About the Course

There are no lessons on this programme. The Teensclub format is a supervised holiday for the age band between the younger holiday camps and the independent youth trips: a fixed resort base, a daily activity programme run by the Jugendtours team, and excursions already covered by the package. Participants are placed in groups of eight to ten for the whole stay, each with its own group leader.

What’s Included

The package covers coach travel to Hungary and back, accommodation at the Ferienanlage Aranypart, full board, the leisure programme, the listed excursions, supervision and travel leadership, and insolvency insurance. Soft drinks at the Jugendtours bar and WiFi at the internet point are free of charge. Travelling independently to the resort is possible as an alternative to the coach.

Accommodation

Participants stay at the Ferienanlage Aranypart, a holiday complex in Siófok on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, a few metres from the free beach at Szabadstrand and roughly ten minutes from the town centre. Rooms are three- to four-bed with shower and WC, a fridge and, for most of them, a balcony. A double room is available for a supplement, listed under extras. The garden has space for table tennis and for sitting out, and the dining room doubles as a disco room.

Meal Plan

Full board is served in the complex dining room: buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Soft drinks at the Jugendtours bar are included and the bar is open daily. Vegetarian and pork-free catering is possible and dietary requirements are to be given at the time of booking. The operator states that this trip is not suitable for participants with a peanut allergy or on a protein-free diet. One of the evenings is a hamburger evening.

Activities & Excursions

Swimming and beach time at Lake Balaton, Balaton Games with air-mattress races and water battles, a beach olympics, table tennis, DIY courses including t-shirt batik, dance and performance and cosmetics, karaoke, film evenings and themed discos. The package includes a day excursion to Budapest with a guided city tour taking in the Fisherman’s Bastion, an excursion to the Siófok aquapark with entry, a shopping trip in Siófok, a party boat tour at sunset and a pool party with live animation. A climbing park and water-ski or wakeboard courses can be booked locally.

Facilities

The holiday complex has a dining room used both for meals and as a disco room, a garden with table tennis, the Jugendtours bar, and an internet point with free WiFi. The free beach is a few metres away and the town centre of Siófok is about ten minutes away, with a supermarket, a pizzeria and an ice cream café close by.

Camp Experience

Lake Balaton shelves gently, so the water stays shallow a long way out, and it warms up through the season — Hungarians call it the Hungarian Sea. The programme is built around that: beach days, boat trips at sunset, and evenings of theme parties, karaoke and film nights. Supervision is round the clock with a ratio of one leader to ten participants, and the group leaders stay with the same group for the whole stay.
