Aqua Club Balaton — teen club holiday on Lake Balaton

There are no lessons on this programme. The club format is the operator’s offer for fourteen- to eighteen-year-olds: a resort base directly on the Szabadstrand beach, a daily animation programme, and water sports at the cable park and the beach club. Creative DIY workshops run alongside, from mixing mocktails to knotting surfer bands and making cosmetics.

The package covers coach travel to Hungary and back with two night drives, accommodation at the Clubhotel Aranypart, all-you-can-eat half board, the club and animation programme, the creative DIY workshops, free use of all the sports courts, travel leadership and supervision, and insolvency insurance. Soft drinks at the Jugendtours bar are free and the bar is open daily; WiFi at the internet point is free as well. A double room is available for a supplement, listed under extras.

Participants stay at the Clubhotel Aranypart in Siófok, directly on the Szabadstrand shore of Lake Balaton. Rooms are three- to four-bed, with some five-bed rooms, all with shower and WC, air conditioning, a fridge and mostly a balcony; a double room can be taken for a supplement. The club grounds have a garden with hammocks, a barbecue area, a five-a-side pitch and a beach volleyball court, and the half board is served in the dining room. A pizzeria, small cafés and bars are a few steps from the hotel.

All-you-can-eat half board: a large breakfast buffet served until late morning and a buffet dinner, both in the hotel dining room. Soft drinks at the Jugendtours bar are free of charge and the bar is open daily. One of the evenings is a chilli party with chilli con carne. A pizzeria and small cafés are a few steps away for anything else.

Wakeboarding and water-skiing at the cable park, swimming off the Szabadstrand, pedalo racing, beach volleyball and five-a-side football on the club courts, and barbecues and hammocks in the club garden. The package includes the Siófok aquapark, the Siófok beach club, a pool party with animation, the Balaton Games, a sunset party boat and the DIY workshops for mocktails and surfer bands. The climbing park at Zamárdi, a day in Budapest, go-karting, paintball and one-day or three-day water-ski and wakeboard courses are listed by the operator as bookable on site.

The club complex has a dining room, a club garden with hammocks and a barbecue area, a five-a-side pitch and a beach volleyball court, the Jugendtours bar and an internet point with free WiFi. All the sports courts are free to use. The Szabadstrand beach is directly in front of the complex, and a pizzeria, small cafés and bars are a few steps away.

This is the older end of the operator’s Balaton programme: beach days on the Szabadstrand, laps at the cable water-ski park, beach volleyball, and evenings that run from the beach club to a sunset party boat to a chilli party. The lake is shallow and warms through the season, and the club sits right on the shore. Supervision and travel leadership are part of the package.
