About
About the Course
The riding course runs on six of the eight days, in half-day sessions, with arrival and departure days excluded. It is taught by experienced, trained riding instructors, and one cross-country hack across meadows and fields is part of the programme. Riding is only half of it: participants groom, feed and handle the horses and are drawn into the work that comes up around the yard each day.
What’s Included
The package covers coach travel there and back, seven nights in multi-bed rooms on the Reiterhof Krümmel, full board cooked fresh on site, the riding course on six days, one cross-country hack, the leisure programme, a swimming trip to the Nebelsee, hobby horsing with a stick horse to make and keep, and a shopping trip in Mirow. The operator publishes no further charges for this camp.
Accommodation
Participants sleep in multi-bed rooms in the bed house on the equestrian farm, with modern shared washrooms on the floor. The yard itself is part of the stay: besides the horses there are pigs, hens, goats, dogs and cats, and participants are involved in the daily jobs around the farm.
Meal Plan
Full board, cooked fresh on the farm every day and served on site. No separate meal charges are published by the operator.
Activities & Excursions
Riding lessons on six days and a cross-country hack, with grooming, feeding and horse care around them. Away from the horses there are mountain bike tours through the forest, down to the bathing lake, to the lock, and into Mirow for shopping; a swimming trip to the Nebelsee; and hobby horsing, including making a stick horse to take home.
Facilities
The Reiterhof Krümmel is a working equestrian farm set in open countryside in the Mecklenburg Lake District, with more than thirty horses and ponies from Haflingers to small ponies, paddocks and riding grounds, a bed house with multi-bed rooms and shared washrooms on the floor, and a kitchen cooking full board on site. Forest tracks, a bathing lake and the town of Mirow are within cycling distance.
Camp Experience
This is a riding holiday on a farm rather than at a resort: long days outdoors, a horse to get to know, and the ordinary work of a yard to join in with. The Mecklenburg Lake District around it gives the rest of the programme its shape — forest trails on a mountain bike, a swim in the lake, an afternoon in Mirow. The operator describes it as eight days of horses, movement and freedom.
