About

About the Course

The Nordsee Camp is a supervised activity holiday, not a language course. On the camp site guests can take part in an XXL sports tournament with football, stand-up-paddle racing and beach volleyball, try archery and canoeing, test the bouldering wall, skate the parcours, play table football, minigolf and soccer cage. One day of the stay is a free day, on which guests decide for themselves whether to relax, go to the beach or look for action on the pump trail and in the indoor play world. Every item of the programme is optional and is accompanied in an age-appropriate way; inside the camp younger and older guests are grouped separately.

What’s Included

The school offers a special discount — ask us for details.
The price covers coach travel to and from the camp, accommodation, full board plus soft drinks, the ruf children's camp leadership with a 24/7 parent hotline, entry to the indoor play world, the holiday programme and ruf shows, and the use of bicycles, canoes and stand-up paddles, archery, the bouldering wall, minigolf and the soccer cage, pedal boats, outdoor fitness and human table football, as well as creative workshops. A pocket-money service and daily updates from the camp for parents are part of the package.

Accommodation

Guests sleep in superior tents for two to four people, each with mattress beds, shelves, seating, a mirror, light and power. Circus wagons sleeping four are also available, in separate versions for boys and girls. The ruf camp area sits immediately next to the extensive Wangerland Resort, whose facilities the camp also uses, so the distances between accommodation, programme, restaurant and beach stay short.

Meal Plan

Full board plus. The day starts with a large breakfast buffet in the restaurant area; lunch is a cooked meal and an afternoon snack follows. In the evening there is a generous buffet with fresh salads, hot main courses and dessert. Soft drinks are included with every meal, and still or sparkling water is available around the clock.

Activities & Excursions

On the water there is direct beach access, canoeing, stand-up paddling and pedal boats. On land, a bouldering wall, a skate parcours, archery, beach volleyball, football, a soccer cage, minigolf, outdoor fitness and human table football. The colourful indoor play city with carousels and a roller coaster is included in the price, and creative workshops and ruf shows run through the stay. Paid optional excursions are a guided walk across the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea mudflats with a campfire evening afterwards, a water-ski course, one of the largest aqua parks in northern Germany, and the Gruseleum, a former church turned into a theatrical haunted world.

Facilities

The camp has its own ruf area with sports pitches and a chill-out lounge, direct beach access and a restaurant area where all meals are served. Because the camp lies directly beside the Wangerland Resort, guests also use the resort's facilities, among them the indoor play world. Many of the highlights are either on the site itself or very close to it, so guests can try a lot without constantly travelling.

Camp Experience

The camp is designed for a first holiday without parents. The site is compact, many activities are within walking distance and the supervision is clearly organised: the ruf children's camp leadership accompanies guests through camp life on site and is a fixed point of contact, while the parent hotline is reachable around the clock for anything urgent. Phone use has two fixed slots a day so that guests take part in shared experiences, and parents are kept informed through daily updates from the camp. A pocket-money service is available on site.
