More about this camp

This French summer camp is held in Montpellier, on France's Mediterranean coast, for teenagers aged 12 to 15. Programme and activities. The camp is a French immersion programme in a lively southern city with white sandy beaches nearby. The coastal setting and the city's youthful, student-heavy character shape the activity programme. Accommodation — a choice of two. Students can stay either with welcoming, selected host families in double or triple rooms, or in a modern student residence (ESMA). The two suit different children: homestay adds French practice at home and family life but involves daily travel, while the residence keeps the group together under more centralised supervision. Being able to choose is useful; families should confirm what each option costs and includes. Ages, dates and duration. The camp accepts teenagers aged 12 to 15 — a younger-teen band, so a 12-year-old is not placed with 17-year-olds. Two arrival dates are listed from early July. Location and travel. Montpellier is in the Occitanie region of southern France, served by Montpellier-Méditerranée airport and by TGV rail. Transfer arrangements are not published. Who the programme may suit. This camp may suit families wanting French immersion for a younger teenager in a warm coastal city, and those who value being able to choose between a host family and a residence. The 12-to-15 band suits parents who want a similar-age peer group. Families wanting an alpine setting should compare the provider's Annecy camp, and those wanting a different southern city its Toulouse camp.
