About the Course
The program provides an intensive German language course consisting of 30 lessons each week, taking place from Monday to Friday in small groups that typically have around 11 students. Designed specifically for young learners, the course material covers every level from complete beginner to proficient. The teaching approach stresses active involvement and a large amount of speaking practice through diverse and stimulating class formats, making sure that learners build all fundamental language abilities — listening, reading, speaking, and writing — in an energetic and encouraging learning setting.
What’s Included
The base cost is a comprehensive all-inclusive package. It covers 30 German lessons per week, all course materials, accommodation in the residence, full board (three meals plus a daily snack), a daily activity program, weekly excursions with entrance fees, 24-hour supervision, laundry service, and a certificate. An optional extra is an airport transfer from/to Munich Airport (MUC) for an additional fee and an additional fee for unaccompanied minor service (if required). A free pickup service is provided from Munich's main train station (Hauptbahnhof).
Accommodation
Students stay in the Don Bosco youth hostel, a dedicated residential campus. Accommodation is in bright and cheerful dormitory rooms, most with two beds (some with 3-4 beds). Shared showers and toilets are available on each floor. Roommates are carefully matched to be of similar age and German level but with different native languages to encourage constant German practice. Boys and girls are housed separately. The facility offers Wi-Fi and 24-hour supervision, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and community-oriented environment.
Meal Plan
The program operates on a full-board basis, providing three main meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) as well as an additional daily snack. Any specific dietary needs are advised to be communicated during the registration process.
Activities & Excursions
The daily leisure schedule is varied and aims to provide enjoyment, cultural exposure, and a sense of group connection. Activities held at the location make great use of the hostel's wonderful amenities, which include a large indoor swimming pool, a sports hall and field, a fitness room, and games such as billiards, foosball, and table tennis. The schedule features weekly half‑day trips (on Wednesday) and full‑day trips (on Saturday) to major destinations like Nuremberg, Innsbruck, and the Alps, as well as exploring the city of Munich itself.

The course center is the well-equipped Don Bosco youth hostel, which functions as a full residential campus. On-site facilities include friendly, well-equipped classrooms, a large indoor swimming pool, extensive indoor and outdoor athletic facilities (sports hall, field, fitness room), a big lounge, and a party room. The program also leverages Munich's exceptional urban and natural infrastructure, including parks like the English Garden, the Isar River, museums, galleries, and the entire historic city center.
