About the Course
The program offers an intensive German course with 30 lessons per week, held Monday to Friday in small classes averaging 11 students. Tailored specifically for teenagers, the curriculum covers all levels from total beginners to advanced students. The teaching methodology focuses on active participation and speaking practice through varied and engaging lesson formats, ensuring students develop all core language skills — listening, reading, speaking, and writing — in a dynamic and motivating environment.
What’s Included
The base cost is a comprehensive all-inclusive package. It covers 30 German lessons per week, all course materials, accommodation in twin rooms, full board (three meals daily), a daily activity program, weekly excursions with entrance fees, 24-hour supervision, laundry service, and a certificate. An optional extra fee is an airport transfer from/to Cologne/Bonn Airport (CGN) plus an additional fee for unaccompanied minor service (if required). A free pickup service is provided from Cologne's main train station (Köln Hauptbahnhof).
Accommodation
Students stay in the modern Cologne City Hostel, which serves as a full residential campus. Accommodation is in comfortable, modern twin rooms, each with a private en-suite bathroom. Roommates are carefully matched to be of similar age and German level but with different native languages to encourage constant German practice. Boys and girls are housed separately. The building is well-equipped and secure, with 24-hour supervision ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Meal Plan
The program operates on a full-board basis, providing three meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Any specific dietary needs are advised to be communicated during the registration process.
Activities & Excursions
The daily leisure program is diverse and compulsory, designed for fun, cultural immersion, and community building. On-site activities include sports like badminton, basketball, football, and volleyball, as well as games, karaoke, and bicycle tours using school-owned mountain bikes. The program is highlighted by weekly half-day and full-day excursions to major cities and attractions like Bonn, Düsseldorf, Aachen, Dortmund, the Cologne Cathedral, and the Chocolate Museum.

The course center is housed in the modern Cologne City Hostel. On-site facilities include bright, attractive seminar rooms for lessons, a party room, and spaces for games like billiards, table football, and table tennis. The program utilizes the city's extensive infrastructure, including the Rhine River for walks and bike tours, museums, and urban beaches. The central location provides easy walking access to all of Cologne's major downtown sights.
