Accent Français runs French courses for teenagers (16–18; 15 if turning 16 this year) in the centre of Montpellier — a young, largely pedestrian university city ten minutes from Mediterranean beaches. Teens study at the school at 2 rue de Verdun and live with carefully vetted French host families, the only accommodation permitted for minors, always on half or full board. Key facts: Ages 16–17 in this listing (school welcomes 16–18; 15-year-olds turning 16 within the year by arrangement). Programmes: all-inclusive Junior & Teens Summer Pack — 20 lessons/week + supervised activity and excursion programme + host family full board (lunch on weekdays at partner restaurants) — €890/week, available 1 June – 14 August 2026, any Monday start; and the year-round Juniors Standard Course — 24 lessons/week (20 + 4 tutoring/workshop) — €280/week (1–4 weeks; cheaper for longer stays), every Monday all year (closed 18.12.2026–03.01.2027 and French bank holidays, when excursions replace classes). Class size max 15, minimum level A0 (complete beginners have set start dates). Registration fee €80. Host family from €230/week half-board single (if not on the all-inclusive pack). French + High School Diploma preparation also available (from €580/week). Best for: motivated older teens who want real language immersion in a lively student city — either a fully organised summer package or flexible year-round study — rather than a fenced-campus junior camp. Parents should check: final dates and prices, availability, host family details and board basis, supervision arrangements outside class (this is a city language school, not a closed campus), travel arrangements to Montpellier, insurance and the required parental liability agreement. Information checked against official provider sources on 11 July 2026. Dates, prices and availability may change and should be confirmed directly with the camp provider.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Summer Pack (€890/week) includes 20 lessons, the supervised activity and excursion programme and host family full board — you only add travel to Montpellier and the €80 registration fee. The Standard Course (€280/week, 1–4 weeks) covers 24 lessons; host family accommodation is booked separately from €230/week half-board.

Minors may only stay in vetted host families on half or full board, controlled through a quality charter, inspection visits and student questionnaires. Hosts walk students to school on day one, teachers and counsellors supervise all activities and excursions, and a signed parental liability agreement is mandatory before a minor can join class. Note this is a city language school with free time, not a closed campus.

More about this camp

Accent Français runs its Teens & Juniors programme from its school at 2 rue de Verdun in the centre of Montpellier, southern France. Montpellier is a largely pedestrian university city, about ten minutes from Mediterranean beaches, which shapes both the atmosphere and the activity programme. Programme and activities. The all-inclusive Junior & Teens Summer Pack combines 20 lessons per week with a supervised activity and excursion programme. A Juniors Standard Course with 24 lessons per week is also listed for students who want more classroom time. Because the school sits in the city centre rather than on a closed campus, activities make use of the city itself and the nearby coast. Accommodation and meals. Students stay with French host families. This is not one option among several: the school states that minors may only be accommodated with host families, always on half or full board, for safety reasons. Families are selected against a quality charter covering availability, comfort and location, with control visits and end-of-stay questionnaires. Most are between a ten-minute walk and around forty minutes by public transport from the school. On the all-inclusive pack, weekday lunches are taken at partner restaurants. Ages, dates and duration. This listing covers students aged 16 to 17. The school itself welcomes 16 to 18-year-olds, and can take 15-year-olds who turn 16 within the year by prior arrangement — families in that position should raise it with the school before booking rather than assuming eligibility. The all-inclusive pack is published at EUR 890 per week. Summer arrival dates run through July and August; the dates currently open appear in the session list on this page. Location and travel. Montpellier is in the Occitanie region of southern France, served by Montpellier-Méditerranée airport and by TGV rail. Transfer arrangements are not published as part of the standard package and should be requested from the school. Who the programme may suit. This course may suit older teenagers who are reasonably independent, since city-centre study with host-family accommodation involves daily travel rather than living where you study. It may particularly suit families who see living with a French family as the point of the trip. Families wanting round-the-clock campus supervision should look at residential programmes instead, as that format is not offered here.
