TECS Puerto Teens: English Summer Camp in El Puerto de Santa Maria

TECS Puerto Teens is the provider’s English immersion camp for teenagers aged 14 to 17, held on the campus of Colegio El Centro Ingles in El Puerto de Santa Maria, on the Cadiz coast of southern Spain. It is residential: teenagers sleep, study, eat and spend their free time inside one enclosed campus about ten minutes from the beach, with teachers, monitors and a welfare team present around the clock. The method is built around total immersion rather than classroom study. The camp recreates life in a small English-speaking community: campers commit to using English in lessons, in activities and with each other, and the morning sessions are conversation-led and highly interactive rather than textbook-driven. Padel, football, basketball and swimming run on campus through the week, and the camp-wide Clash of the Colours competition gives teams a reason to organise, argue and negotiate in English across the session. It offers air-conditioned classrooms with interactive whiteboards, indoor and outdoor sports facilities including padel and football, an indoor swimming pool, a dining hall and roughly five thousand square metres of pine woodland used for evening activities. Teenagers stay in shared dormitories, with boys and girls accommodated separately. Meals are cooked in-house around the Mediterranean diet, and dietary requirements are accommodated when families give notice in advance. Sessions are offered in two-week blocks through the summer, with a four-week option covering the first half of the season for families who want a longer stay.
