TECS Puerto Kids is a residential English immersion camp for children aged 7 to 13, hosted on the campus of Colegio El Centro Ingles in El Puerto de Santa Maria, Cadiz. Mornings combine dynamic English classes covering listening, reading, writing and speaking with project-based work, while afternoons and weekends bring beach sessions, a surf afternoon followed by a barbecue on the sand, a trampoline park, a water park, the Tree Adventure zipline excursion and the camp-wide Clash of the Colours team game. Campers stay on campus in shared dormitories with round-the-clock supervision from teachers, monitors and a dedicated welfare team, and all activities are included in the base programme.

حول

حول الدورة

English lessons run in the morning and are built for camp, not for a classroom: dynamic, playful and driven by interaction between campers. The first part of the morning works through listening, reading, writing and speaking with games and a workbook on an eight-day cycle; the second continues with project-based learning. The share of English use rises gradually until campers speak only English, including among themselves.

ما الذي يتضمنه

The base programme covers tuition, residential accommodation on campus, full board and every listed activity and excursion, so families are not asked to add extras for the standard camp day. Sessions run in two-week blocks, with a longer four-week option across the first half of the summer.

الإقامة

Campers live on the campus of Colegio El Centro Ingles in shared dormitories that take up to fourteen children, with staff on site around the clock. Boys and girls are accommodated separately and the residence sits inside the same grounds as the classrooms, sports facilities and dining hall, so children do not travel between sites during the camp day.

خطة الوجبات

Full board is served on campus. The kitchen cooks in-house around the Mediterranean diet, with fresh produce and a rotating menu, and the team adapts meals to a range of dietary requirements when families flag them in advance. Beach days and excursions are covered by packed meals or a barbecue on site.

الأنشطة والرحلات

Afternoons and weekends are the other half of the camp: beach sessions on the Cadiz coast, a surf afternoon that ends with a barbecue on the sand, a trampoline park, a water park, the Tree Adventure zipline excursion, an excursion to the Calas de Roche coves near Conil, and the camp-wide Clash of the Colours team competition. Football, basketball, padel and swimming run through the week.

المرافق

The campus offers air-conditioned classrooms with interactive whiteboards, indoor and outdoor sports facilities including football, basketball and padel courts, an indoor swimming pool, a dining hall and roughly five thousand square metres of pine woodland used for evening games and open-air activities. The beach is about ten minutes away.

تجربة المخيم

The camp is designed so that younger children can settle quickly: supervision runs around the clock through teachers, monitors and a dedicated welfare team, groups are small enough for staff to know every child, and the day alternates between structured English work and play. Parents receive guidance on how to keep the language going at home once the session ends.

The core English programme at TECS Puerto Kids. Mornings are split in two: the first part works through listening, reading, writing and speaking with games, dynamic activities and the Masterpack workbook on an eight-day cycle, and the second part continues with project-based learning. English use is increased gradually until campers speak only English, including among themselves.

Classes are held in the morning and are deliberately different from academy-style lessons: dynamic, playful and built around interaction between campers to push speaking and listening.

Speaking and listening are the priority, with grammar, reading and writing supported through projects and everyday camp life.

TECS Puerto Kids is the provider’s English immersion camp for children aged 7 to 13, held on the campus of Colegio El Centro Ingles in El Puerto de Santa Maria, on the Cadiz coast of southern Spain. It is a residential programme: children sleep, study, eat and play inside the same enclosed grounds, roughly ten minutes from the beach, with teachers, monitors and a dedicated welfare team on site around the clock. The teaching day sits in the morning and is deliberately unlike a school timetable. The first half works through the four language skills, listening, reading, writing and speaking, using games, dynamic tasks and a workbook that follows an eight-day cycle, so each skill is revisited rather than covered once. The second half moves into project-based learning, where children apply the language to something they are building or presenting. English use is increased gradually through the session until campers are speaking only English, including with each other outside class. Groups are formed by level, and the emphasis throughout is on speaking and listening rather than grammar drills. Afternoons and weekends carry the other half of the camp. Children spend time on the beaches of the Cadiz coast, take a surf afternoon that ends with a barbecue on the sand, visit a trampoline park and a water park, and join the Tree Adventure excursion with its ropes and ziplines. There is an excursion to the Calas de Roche coves near Conil, and the camp-wide Clash of the Colours team competition runs across the session and gives younger children a reason to use English under pressure without noticing it. Football, basketball, padel and swimming are available through the week on campus. All of these activities are covered by the base programme rather than charged as extras. The campus itself is a working international school: air-conditioned classrooms with interactive whiteboards, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, an indoor swimming pool, a dining hall and around five thousand square metres of pine woodland used for evening games. Accommodation is in shared dormitories taking up to fourteen children, with boys and girls housed separately. Meals are cooked in-house around the Mediterranean diet, and the kitchen adapts to a range of dietary requirements when families give notice in advance. Sessions run in two-week blocks through the summer, with a longer four-week option covering the first half of the season, so families can choose between a first experience away from home and an extended immersion. Accompanied transfers are offered from Seville, Bilbao and Madrid subject to minimum and maximum numbers, and pick-up at Jerez airport and the El Puerto de Santa Maria train station is provided at no additional cost, with all transfer arrangements subject to confirmation. The camp suits families looking for a first residential experience in English for a younger child, in a Spanish setting with an international group, where the structure of the day and the level of supervision matter as much as the language gain. Availability, dates and prices may change quickly; send an enquiry through CampsBooking and the details will be confirmed before you make travel arrangements.
