Camps Baco & Che-Na-Wah
A family-run pair of residential summer camps on Lake Balfour in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York: Camp Baco for boys and Camp Che-Na-Wah for girls, two separate camps on one lake under one family. Che-Na-Wah was established in 1923 and Baco in 1951; the Wortman family has directed both for generations. Around 200 boys and 150 girls spend the season there, from those entering 2nd or 3rd grade to those entering 11th grade.
