American Village

American Village runs English-immersion holiday camps in France for children and teenagers aged 8 to 17. Founded in 1994 and part of the Nacel group, it welcomes campers at residential centres across the country, where daily life, games and activities are carried out entirely in English by native or bilingual counsellors working to a ratio of one counsellor per five children. Every stay combines English sessions in small level-based groups with sports, creative workshops, themed evenings and American-style traditions such as the daily Congress show, the Market and the closing graduation ceremony. The centres are approved by the French Ministry of Education and Youth, and the organisation is a member of UNOSEL.
