Samiad Multi-Activity Summer Camp — Trent College

Samiad’s Multi-Activity Programme is the operator’s original and most popular summer course, and at Trent College it welcomes international students aged 11–17 for 14-night residential blocks. The centre is based at Trent College in Long Eaton near Nottingham, around 15 minutes from East Midlands Airport, with single and twin rooms, a swimming pool and a theatre on campus. Mornings centre on English: 15 hours of tuition per week taught by experienced, TEFL-qualified teachers, with students placed in classes by age and ability and a deliberate mix of nationalities. The lessons are designed to build confidence, encourage group work and strengthen practical language skills rather than exam drilling. Afternoons and evenings are given over to the activity programme — more than 50 options per age group. Afternoons range from sports, swimming and climbing to arts and crafts and nerf wars, while evenings bring karaoke, murder-mystery games and escape-room challenges. Each week also includes two excursions chosen to blend history, culture and entertainment, such as London landmarks or a boat tour through Cambridge, plus a signature overnight stay at a medieval castle during the course. The 14-night fee of £3,350 covers full-board accommodation with three buffet meals a day, all English tuition, the complete activity programme, the weekly excursions and the overnight excursion, and round-the-clock supervision with a 1:6 staff-to-student ratio. The 2026 season runs Sunday-arrival blocks between July and 23 August; the remaining bookable block starts on Sunday 9 August and ends on Sunday 23 August. Samiad also operates summer centres at The Oratory School, Marlborough College, Bromsgrove School and The Leys School, whose 2026 blocks have already started or finished.
