It then moves south to Ouarzazate for the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the palm groves and the Dades gorges, and finishes in Essaouira, the old Mogador, explored on a photo rally, with a trip down the coast to the beach at Sidi Kaouki for a first go at surfing. About
About the Course
A supervised travel programme rather than a taught course. A minimum of twelve and a maximum of twenty-four participants. The group travels with a qualified director and camp leaders, at a ratio of one adult for every eight young people, and the working language is French. The itinerary is fixed and the same on every departure.
What’s Included
The school offers a special discount — ask us for details. The price covers the return flight from Paris with a stopover, full board, accommodation for the whole stay, all travel on the ground, the activities named in the programme, full supervision, repatriation and personal accident cover, and the operator's educational and administrative follow-up before and after the stay. It does not cover personal spending, visa fees, vaccinations and other formalities, activities not named in the programme, optional extras, the cancellation insurance or the operator's fixed-price guarantee. A connection from a French provincial city to the Paris departure point can be arranged on request.
Accommodation
The group sleeps in small, simple hotels, centrally located in Marrakech, Ouarzazate and Essaouira. Rooms hold between two and six people.
Meal Plan
Full board is included for the whole stay, taken in small local restaurants along the route.
Activities & Excursions
In Marrakech the group takes in Jemaa el-Fna with its snake charmers, street dentists and permanent commotion, the Bahia Palace, the lanes of the medina and the souks of the tanners and the jewellers. Around Ouarzazate it visits the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, used as a film location for Gladiator, and looks out over the palm groves, the kasbah architecture and the Dades gorges. In Essaouira, the old Mogador, the town is explored as a photo rally, and the group goes down the coast to the long beach at Sidi Kaouki for a first surfing lesson.
Facilities
This is a touring camp and it has no single campus. What is available is what each stop provides: small simple hotels in the centre of Marrakech, Ouarzazate and Essaouira. Travel on the ground uses local and private transport that meets the safety standards of the country.
Camp Experience
Morocco is two and a half hours' flight away and still a long way from home: this as a crossing from the High Atlas to the Atlantic, from the souks to a bivouac under the stars among the dunes. It is also explicit that the country is not the tourist frenzy of Marrakech alone, and that the point of taking the time to reach its quieter corners is to meet a truer version of it.

Morocco Touring Programme - Marrakech, Ouarzazate and Essaouira
25 Lessons · 12–17 yrs · A1–C2Price from
A single fixed itinerary run three times over the season for one group at a time. The route links Marrakech, Ouarzazate on the edge of the desert and Essaouira on the Atlantic. There is no choice of modules: every participant follows the same route, led in French by a qualified director and camp leaders.
This is a travel and discovery programme, not a language course and no timetabled lessons. What is learned comes from the guided visits, the markets and the people the group meets along the route.
Discovery travel across three contrasting parts of one country: the crowds and crafts of Marrakech, the kasbahs, palm groves and gorges around Ouarzazate at the gateway to the Sahara, and the Atlantic coast at Essaouira, where the group explores the old town on a photo rally and takes a first surfing lesson at Sidi Kaouki. This stay is a deliberate move past the tourist version of Marrakech towards the quieter corners of the country.
