More about this camp

The camp takes place on a secure 3.5-acre waterfront campus in West Cowes, where UKSA — a maritime charity with more than 35 years of training experience — has its base. The holiday programme is built around water: dinghy sailing, keelboating, kayaking, windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, raft building and racing, supported by land-based games such as archery, orienteering and pool games. Children are grouped by age into Kids (8-11) and Youths (12-15) and are supervised at all times by experienced, safeguard-trained watersports instructors. Families can choose between two formats. The day camp for ages 8-15 runs as a 3-day or 5-day programme and includes all equipment and a packed lunch each day. The residential camp, available for ages 12-15, adds bunk-style accommodation in a dedicated kids area, buffet breakfast, packed lunch and a hot evening meal, plus an evening entertainment programme run by dedicated teams — from a camp Olympics and in-house cinema to discos, quizzes and treasure hunts. Sessions run through the school summer holidays with weekly start dates into early September, and 5-day camps follow a Monday-to-Friday pattern with four nights on campus. The centre has an on-site swimming pool, direct water access and professional equipment for every activity. Water-based activities may be adjusted for weather or group numbers. Availability, dates and prices may change quickly. Please always confirm details directly with the camp provider before making travel arrangements.
