Eastbourne is located at Bede's Preparatory School, a compact centre founded in 1895 with a beautiful setting at the foot of Beachy Head, an area of outstanding natural beauty, overlooking the sea. The school has the feel of a family home and offers a safe and welcoming environment for the youngest students. It is situated between the town of Eastbourne, the South Downs National Park and directly in front of the beach. Designed for students aged 6 to 11, the Little Explorers course is full of lessons, activities, events and excursions that give students a great introduction to the UK. The all-inclusive package covers 17½ hours of lessons per week, accommodation, all meals, a full programme of activities and evening entertainment, three excursions per week (Wednesday half-day, Saturday and Sunday full-day), and access to a nurse or medical officer. The main goal is to educate and inspire the youngest learners, helping them build confidence, make new friends, and develop their English skills through a carefully designed academic, social and cultural programme.

About
About the Course
The Little Explorers programme offers 17½ hours of lessons per week, consisting of English Skills, StoryTime and Explorations. Explorations lessons use CLIL methodology to develop English skills through stimulating subjects such as Science, Maths, Geography, Art and History. All levels from A0 to C2 are available with a maximum class size of 14 and a staff-to-student ratio of 1:3. Students take a placement test on arrival. Progress tests are carried out at the end of each week to monitor progress. The teaching methodology is communicative and interactive, with creativity and personal expression encouraged.
