A four-week residential programme on the Northfield Mount Hermon campus in Gill, Massachusetts, for students who already have experience in the arts and want to develop their craft. Students choose one of three tracks — Voice, Dance or Theater — and train in it each morning. Afternoons bring the tracks together for an anatomy for performers course, a careers in the arts course and a combined musical theater production workshop. Each week the group travels to see live performances in New York City, Boston and the surrounding area. Evenings and weekends add the wider summer programme: movie nights, cookouts and ice cream socials, whitewater rafting, a trip to Six Flags and a day in historic Boston.

About
About the Course
Students choose one of three tracks — Voice, Dance or Theater — and train in it every morning with the programme faculty. Afternoons bring all three tracks together for a course in anatomy for performers, a course on careers in the arts, and a combined musical theater production workshop, so that singers, dancers and actors rehearse as one company. The programme is built for students who already have experience in the arts and want to deepen it over a four-week residential term.
What’s Included
The fee covers tuition, room and board, linens and laundry, course equipment, on-campus activities, off-campus excursions and internet access, and it includes tickets to several professional performances. Health insurance and personal spending are not covered.
Accommodation
Students live on the Northfield Mount Hermon campus in twin rooms within the school residences, with staff on site throughout the programme.
Meal Plan
Full board on campus — breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the school dining hall and are part of the fee.
Activities & Excursions
Each week the company travels to see live performances in New York City, Boston and the surrounding area. Around the studio work the wider summer programme runs in the evenings and at weekends: movie nights, cookouts and ice cream socials, whitewater rafting, a day at Six Flags and a day exploring historic Boston.
Facilities
The programme uses the school’s performance and rehearsal spaces on a residential New England campus, with dining hall, laundry and campus-wide internet access.
Camp Experience
Four weeks of concentrated work in one discipline, with the corrective of rehearsing alongside performers trained in the other two. Students finish having built a role or a piece from the ground up, having watched professionals do the same work on stage each week, and having lived alongside students drawn from many countries.
