A six-week international summer camp in the centre of Cheltenham, England, for students aged 11 to 17. Each week brings twenty English lessons in a class matched to the student's level, twelve afternoon and evening activities, and two guided excursions - London, Oxford, Bath and Stratford-upon-Avon among them. Local British students of the same age join the activity programme. Students live with a host family inspected by the school's own accommodation officers against British Council standards, on half board, with a hot lunch at school. Teachers and activity staff lead and supervise throughout, and every student receives a certificate at the end of the stay.

About
About the Course
Twenty English lessons a week, mornings only, in classes of ten to twenty students grouped by level. Students sit a placement test on the first Monday morning and are placed from beginner through to advanced; complete beginners are welcome. Lessons run from 09:00 to 12:15, and every student receives a certificate at the end of the stay. The school has taught international students since 1990 and is accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English in the UK, and is a member of English UK.
What’s Included
One weekly price covers nearly everything: twenty lessons, the daily activity programme, two guided excursions a week, host family accommodation on half board, a hot lunch at school, a weekly bus pass where one is needed, and all administrative fees. Unusually for a junior programme, there is no separate registration or accommodation charge to add. Airport transfers are charged separately, except for groups of fifteen or more. Flights, insurance and pocket money are not included. Students may book any number of weeks within the summer window.
Accommodation
Students live with a local host family on half board - breakfast and dinner at home, with a hot lunch provided at school. Every host home is found and inspected by the school's own accommodation officers against British Council standards. The school is in the town centre and all local buses pass close by, so a weekly bus pass is included where one is needed. Friends and siblings can be considered for placement together on request. The school asks that arrivals into Cheltenham avoid the hours after 22:00 and before 07:00 out of consideration for the host.
Meal Plan
Half board with the host family: breakfast and dinner at home. A hot lunch is served at the school on weekdays and is included in the weekly price.
Activities & Excursions
Twelve activities a week in the afternoons and evenings, plus two guided excursions. Afternoons and evenings bring sport, swimming, drama, arts and crafts, a photo scavenger hunt, a disco and a prom. Local British students of the same age join the activity programme - not as staff and not to teach, but as teenagers to talk to. Excursions are led by school staff with entry and travel included, and include a full day in London on Saturdays; Stratford-upon-Avon is forty-five minutes from the school, Oxford and Bristol an hour, Bath an hour and a quarter, London two hours, and the Cotswold villages fifteen minutes.
Facilities
A language centre in the middle of Cheltenham, in Gloucestershire, England, with classrooms for groups of ten to twenty. The town centre position puts local bus routes within a short walk and makes day trips across the Cotswolds, to Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, Bath, Bristol and London straightforward.
Camp Experience
A six-week international summer camp bringing together students from a dozen or more countries, for ages eleven to seventeen. Mornings are lessons; afternoons and evenings are everything else. A team of teachers and activity staff leads and supervises throughout, from morning lessons to evening activities, and excursions are staff-led. The intention is not six hours in a classroom but twelve hours a day in an English-speaking environment. Students who would prefer to board rather than stay with a host family are directed by the school to a partner boarding school's residential programme.
