About
About the Course
Mornings are given over to three hours of lessons in English or German, taught in small groups at levels from beginner through intermediate. Campers who prefer a different focus can swap the language classes for artificial intelligence and STEM projects, or add a specialist strand in sailing, golf, horse riding or digital music production alongside the core programme.
What’s Included
The camp is sold as a two-week residential package that covers tuition, accommodation in the school boarding houses, all meals, the afternoon and evening activity programme and the cultural excursions. Collection from Salzburg airport or train station at the start and end of the session is included at no extra charge. Examination fees for riding awards are not part of the package.
Accommodation
Campers live in the school boarding houses on campus, in en-suite double or triple rooms. Rooms are grouped by age and gender, and boarding staff live alongside the campers throughout the session.
Meal Plan
All meals are included. Campers eat buffet-style in the boarding house around a shared dining table, which keeps mealtimes sociable and gives quieter campers a natural setting to practise the language. A few meals during each session are taken in local restaurants in the village.
Activities & Excursions
Afternoons rotate through hiking, climbing, biking, archery, sailing, windsurfing and horse trekking so that every camper tries each activity, with choice days towards the end of the session when campers return to their favourites. Cultural excursions take in Salzburg, the Dachstein ice caves, the historic salt mines, Mozart family sites and Klimt country on the Attersee.
Facilities
The camp runs on the campus of an international boarding school in the lakeside village of St. Gilgen near Salzburg, with residential houses and dining on site. The Salzkammergut lakes and mountains around the school serve as the outdoor classroom, and the golf strand is based at a nearby club at Mondsee.
Camp Experience
Sessions are capped at forty international participants with a staff-to-camper ratio of one to two, so children are known by name rather than lost in a crowd. Staff are qualified and first-aid trained, and many families return year after year. For younger teenagers considering boarding school, the camp doubles as a gentle introduction to what life at an international boarding school feels like.
