St Giles Juniors Cambridge is a residential summer camp at St Mary's School on Bateman Street, within walking distance of Cambridge city centre, run by St Giles International — a family-owned school group founded in 1955, accredited by the British Council and a member of English UK. About the Course

20 General English lessons (16.7 hours) per week in the mornings, max 15 per class, up to 5 levels from beginner to advanced with a placement test on the first morning. Lessons follow a weekly theme (Food, Global Culture, Science…) ending in a student project, workbook portfolio and graduation certificate with full report. Free English Plus options: Exam Skills, Performing Arts, University Studies Taster (5 hours/week in the afternoons). Day-only option available without accommodation.

Accommodation

Residential students stay in Mary Ward House, a boarding house 15 minutes' walk from the teaching site at St Mary's School: single, twin and shared rooms (2–4 beds) with shared bathrooms (ratio 1:5). Caring staff live on site; students are supervised 24/7 with regular roll calls. A refundable £80 deposit is collected in cash on arrival.

Meal Plan

Full board is included for residential students, with plenty of variety in the school dining hall. Special diets and requirements can be catered for on request.

Activities & Excursions

At least 1 full-day and 3 half-day excursions per week (London, Norwich, Stratford-upon-Avon, Botanic Garden, King's College tours, punting), plus a full afternoon and evening social programme: sports, bowling, cinema, discos, capture the flag, pizza parties and a weekly talent show or graduation ceremony.

Facilities

St Mary's School offers a traditional boarding-school campus walking distance from Cambridge city centre: netball courts and indoor sports hall on-site, plus off-site athletics field, cricket nets, AstroTurf pitches for hockey, rugby and football, netball and tennis courts. Interactive whiteboards and Wi-Fi on site.
