More about this camp

The St Edmund's College International Summer School runs at St Edmund's College, a historic boarding school at Old Hall Green near Ware, in Hertfordshire, England. It accepts students aged 9 to 17. Programme and activities. The camp combines English with activities and excursions, using the college's facilities and historic setting. Being close to London and Cambridge, the excursion programme has options in both directions. Accommodation. Students live fully residentially on boarding-house corridors in the main College building. Living in the main historic building, rather than a separate modern block, is part of the character. The school's own boarding infrastructure is used. Families should confirm room configurations. Ages, dates and duration. The camp accepts students aged 9 to 17 — reaching younger than many, so it works for a primary-age child. Two arrival dates are listed from mid-July; families should confirm whether further dates are available. Families of the youngest children should ask how age groups are separated. Location and travel. Old Hall Green is near Ware in Hertfordshire, north of London, within reach of Stansted and around an hour from central London. Transfer arrangements are not published. Who the programme may suit. This camp may suit families wanting a historic English boarding-school setting for a child aged 9 to 17, including younger children, with London and Cambridge both reachable for excursions. The historic main-building accommodation is part of the appeal. Parents of the youngest children should confirm the age-grouping arrangements, and check the full set of dates before booking.
