About

About the Course

Mornings are given to English tuition. Beyond the language lessons the operator publishes four programme options — Adventure English, AI App Design, Business Leadership and Discover Challenge — and the option is chosen for the stay. The operator describes the approach as learning English through lessons, cultural experiences and excursions rather than classroom work alone.

What’s Included

The weekly price of the residential programme covers morning English tuition, accommodation and all meals, afternoon and evening activities, excursions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, health insurance and a two-way airport transfer. Prices are quoted per student in pounds sterling. The residential week runs Sunday to Sunday; the operator states that a Saturday arrival is possible for an additional one-night fee, and that no discount is given for shortening a stay. An unaccompanied-minor fee, a refundable residential deposit and a custodianship fee are charged separately and are listed as extras.

Accommodation

Campers live at St Hilda’s College, University of Oxford, on the college site beside the river in the centre of the city. The operator publishes two room grades at different weekly prices, standard and ensuite, and states that rooms are assigned with a mix of nationalities in mind so that campers meet children from other countries from the first day.

Meal Plan

All meals are included in the residential price and are served on campus. The operator publishes a rotating menu built to reflect the many cultures and nationalities at camp, naming rice dishes, pasta, chicken, salads, fresh fruit and soups among what campers can expect. Day and School campers can buy additional meals at the cafeteria themselves.

Activities & Excursions

Afternoons and evenings are given to an activity programme, and excursions run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for residential campers. The operator describes exploring the historic streets of Oxford and its university culture, team activities and city adventures, and publishes a separate activity calendar for the destination.

Facilities

The camp runs on the site of St Hilda’s College, University of Oxford, using the college’s residential accommodation and teaching rooms, with meals served on campus. Where cooking appliances are available, the operator states they may generally be used only under staff supervision, and that access varies by destination and local safety requirements.

Camp Experience

A summer in an Oxford college for teenagers who want their English to be used rather than only studied. The operator sums the camp up as Learn It. Live It. — lessons in the morning, the city and its university culture in the afternoon, and a supervised residential community in between.
