About the Course
The junior English courses in Ramsgate are designed to help students build confidence, improve fluency, and express themselves in English through engaging weekly themes. Meal Plan
Students eat with their homestay family seven days a week, providing an immersive cultural experience. After school-based evening activities, students return to their homestay on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. On activity nights, junior students are walked home by staff, ensuring safety and supervision. Most accommodation is within a 20-minute walk or a short bus ride from the school, ensuring convenience and safety for all participants.
Activities & Excursions
The programme includes one half-day excursion to a local attraction and one full-day trip to a major UK destination each week. Evening social events at the Clubroom include karaoke, discos, and games nights, fostering interaction and real-world application of English. Optional excursions include visits to the London Eye, Thorpe Park, Brighton, London Dungeon, Chelsea Football Stadium, and Madame Tussauds, enhancing students' cultural understanding and enjoyment.

This programme is designed for students who want a fully immersive experience with a balanced combination of English lessons, structured activities, and cultural excursions. The Activity Programme Plus offers the most comprehensive package, including daytime and evening activities, as well as half-day and full-day trips to explore the UK's most iconic destinations. This option is ideal for younger students and those who want to make the most of their time in Britain.
Students receive 15 hours of English lessons per week, delivered Monday to Friday in three 1-hour sessions with breaks. Teaching is communicative and interactive, using group discussions, games, and quizzes. Students take a placement test before arrival and are placed in levels from A0 Beginner to C1 Advanced. Lessons focus on speaking and listening to build confidence, while also covering grammar, vocabulary, and cultural content. The programme includes 4 daytime activities and 4 evening activities per week, plus 1 half-day trip and 1 full-day trip. For students staying 3 weeks, an additional full-day trip is included; for 4-week stays, two additional full-day trips are offered. All activities and excursions are supervised by trained staff, providing students with opportunities to practise English in real-life contexts, explore British culture, and make lasting friendships.
The course is focused on developing English communication skills through interactive lessons, a full programme of daytime and evening activities, and weekly cultural excursions.
